Today was the day, the day I finally got to meet my idol, Shawn Mendes.
He has helped me through so much from his music and just him being himself, I got out of bed at around 10:30, I was going with my best Friend, y/f/n. It was her Christmas present, I was still tired from work last night, but oh well, I got up had a shower, got dressed in just a Shawn Mendes t-shirt and some skinny jeans with a pair of vans. I made my way downstairs to get some breakfast.
I spent most of the day just watching Netflix, at around 3:00 I left to pick up y/f/n. On the way to the venue, we were just jamming out to Shawn Mendes and singing at the top of our lungs. We stopped just as we got into a car park. "I didn't know you could sing." y/f/n says and I just shrugged and replying with a "I can't, but thanks."
We got out of the car and made our way into the stadium, we were up at the front, I didn't know how close to the stage, but we were close, we walked in brought a tonne of merch and made our way to our seats, woah the arena was huge and we were soooo close to the stage it was scary, I started getting nervous knowing I was that close. y/f/n picked up on it and told me to chill.
About 1 hour later, the music to Mercy started playing and we all started screaming and jumping knowing that Shawn was about to come out, but did he? No, his band were just messing with us, we could hear them laughing, about 5-10 minutes after that Mercy started playing again and we knew this time it was about to begin. Shawn walked on out on stage and started singing to all the songs.
He was currently singing I don't even know your name, when he hopped off stage and started walking around in front of me, I didn't realise and I just kept singing along to the song, when I felt y/f/n and some others like screaming even louder and shoving me, I opened my eyes and saw Shawn standing in front of me with a giant smile plastered on his face, that's when I looked down and noticed that the microphone was right in front of my mouth, meaning everyone in the arena heard me singing
