continued from last chapter ...
Once I was outside the house I saw Michael come towards me. "So whats up?" I said and walked towards me. "Not even going to give me a hello kiss?" He said and I just rolled my eyes. I kissed him on the cheek and walked to school with him slowly walking behind me. It was already coming to an end. "Sophomore year is almost over huh?" I said remembering my boring freshman year compared to the crazy sophomore year that I had. "Yup, and to think it all started because you defended Jeremy when they called him gay." I laughed, "Yeah, you should really thank him it was all because of him that we met and are dating right now." I said and smiled at him. "What would have happened if we hadn't met?" Michael asked me. I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know I'd probably be home everyday after school just doing homework and doing random dumb things, although I still do that except less since I have friends now. How about you?" I asked genuinely wondering how his life would be without me. He actually had friends and he had, her... "Well I'd still be friends with Jeremy having fun in his basement, playing video games all day with him- well night. We always had those late nights when we slept at 5 just to finish a level." He laughed and I laughed as well I couldn't imagine seeing Michael come to school and sleep all day. "And of course I'd still be friends with Nancy, although I cut her off." He said and I stopped walking. "You are done with her, for real?" I asked surprised, he turned around to face me and cupped his hands on my cheeks "I'd do anything for you, and after I saw what she did with you I couldn't let her do any more damage to you." I smiled, I've never felt so loved before, I always had my insecurities and Michael was making me feel so happy. "Well I could have stopped her, you know I almost killed you." I said and began to walk on our track to school. "You?" Michael asked raising a brow and holding back a smile. "Yeah and if you continue to act like you're not taking me seriously i'll punch you." I said motioning my fist. "Alright alright." Michael said. Before we got through the gates of the school I pushed his arm back making him spin around and kissed him on the cheek, whispering. "Thanks for sticking up to me it means a lot." Once I saw his face I wanted to laugh. His cheeks where bright red and looked like he wanted to faint. "You okay?" I asked holding back my laughter. "Fine. Everything's great." I shook my head and walked into the school with Michael by my side. Today was going to be interesting.
"Wait so Nancy's out of the picture?!" Christine asked with her mouth filled up with french fries. She was just to surprised and when she realized she was showing her food she quickly apologized and swallowed her food. "I was surprised as well, Michael really is sweet. I feel like I haven't done anything. What do you think?" I asked Christine who already lost her attention and was trying to cut the french fries in a specific way. She was weird sometimes but I loved her for it. "Huh, oh right Michael, well I was going to write a poem to Jeremy since he wrote me one which was really sweet, and he was blushing a lot, and sweating... a lot. You know maybe he's sick. I better check on him be right back." Christine said and went to find Jeremy. Maybe I should write a poem. Man that would be really fun. But what if he didn't like it? What if he thought I was to clingy?! I stopped no Michael would never think that. Before I could even think twice about this I saw Michael sit in front of me with a grin. "Yo we're back turns out Jeremy isn't sick." Christine said and sat down next to me. "Wait you actually thought he was sick?" I asked amused at how precious Christine was. "Well yeah, what else could it be?" She asked me. I looked at Jeremy and he was blushing. "I don't I don't have a clue why." I said and shrugged my shoulders. "Alright..." Christine said but she was still looking at me. I ignored her and began to talk to Michael. "How are you not hot in that sweater?" I asked him and he let out a weird laugh. Something felt odd, "What about you?" He asked and pointed at my loose black sweater. "Hey you changed the subject!" I said trying to avoid this conversation, why did I talk about sweaters? "No I didn't I'm talking about sweaters, or hoodies." He said smiling. "Whatever." I said and began to eat lollipop that I got from one of my classes. I was on my phone reading wattpad stories from my favorite writers when I looked up and saw Michael blushing a deep red. "What are you sick?" I laughed and took out the lollipop so that I could point it at him. He just stared at me not knowing what to say. I laughed it off and then put the candy back into my mouth unintentionally making a sucking noise. I looked up to see Michael's face redden. Wow. "Really?" I asked staring at him with a poker face. " What really?" Christine asked looking at Michael then back to me and then back at him. "Nothing." I told her she already knew but I didn't want to tell her she was way too pure. "I want to know." She said and began to pull my sleeve. "Hey can you get me a water bottle heres a dollar." I said. "Wait don't change the subject on me." She said but then Jeremy helped me out. "Let's go I need a soda." He said. "Hm, alright." She said and grabbed my dollar. Once they left I turned back to Michael.
"Really?" I said this time laughing. "What are you laughing about?" Michael said clearly embarrassed. "Oh you know why and the answer is no." I said trying to stop myself from laughing. "Seriously, why would you think that?" I asked him. "Well because you're perfect." He mumbled. I blushed at the compliment although I wasn't sure if I was suppose to hear that but I was still happy.
Michael's p.o.v:
I couldn't help but think those thoughts. What was wrong with me? I thought and looked at y/n who was laughing she looked really beautiful just laughing all she wanted. "Oh you know why and the answer is no." She managed to say through her laughter. I smiled still feeling a little embarrassed. "Seriously, why would you think that?" She asked me her face becoming a the embodiment of perfection, which caused me to not say a word. I mumbled to myself "Well because you're perfect." Which was true. Why couldn't I saw all these things to her? If I could tell her all of the things that I wanted to then she would probably be as red as her ketchup stain that she had on her cheek. "You got a little something." I said and took the ketchup of with my thumb liking it. Her face was red as predicted. "Why would you think of something like that?" I said back to her mocking her. "Shut up." She said and looked back down at her phone. She was the cutest thing ever.
