Narrita POV

Warm.

I felt warm.

I felt....

Safe.

Which was rare.

I didn't understand.

I tried to open my eyes but a blinding light made me snap them shut.

Forcing my eyes to crack open to try and see what was admitting the blinding light useing my hand to try and block the light but it seemed as if it was shining from every direction.

I saw a figure of a woman with her back turned to me.

That one glance was all I got of her.

"H-hello?" I called out but my voice cracked and my call seemed nonexistent.

I cracked open my eyes again and I was able to get a glance at her very long blue hair that reached her ankles blowing in some form of non-existent wind.

I shut them again because they started to burn just before she spoke.

"The necklace Narrita, your special eyes will help you reveal things you don't know or understand, follow the signs and stay vigilant. I sense Something terrible in your future, be careful, I hope you don't plan to follow me yet. I will always love you, Narrita." Her words were firm but like silk and her voice was calming and gave me a rare comfort.

"WHO ARE YOU!? HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME!? HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE NECKLACE!?" I shouted not even noticing the tears rolling down my face as I stole one last glance at her form.

"We will meet again Narrita." She spoke raising her hand into the air with her arm bent at a 90-degree angle as a farewell just before the light became even more intense that before causing me to fully cover my eyes with my arm as if they were going to melt out of my skull because of the burning pain.

Then it all at once vanished.

My eyes shot open and I shot up into a sitting position on the bed with a yell.

The tears streaming down my face and my breathing labored.

It felt as if no matter how much air I sucked in it felt as If I was still suffocating.

I felt more sweat roll down my face that must have built up while I was asleep.

My eyes darted around to find that my dad was fine and my shield was no longer there and seeing his chest rise and fall help me slightly but not enough I still felt like I couldn't breathe even though I was taking in and letting out as much air as possible as fast as I could.

"Hey, hey, hey, it's ok. shhhhh. You're fine." And anbu slowly stepped out of the shadow with his hands in front of him as if to signal he wasn't a threat.

"They're gone now they can't hurt you." He said getting a little bit closer.

" I don't know what you were dreaming about but I know it must have been horrible but you need to calm down. You need to try and slow down your breathing." He said as he came a little closer.

I managed to slow it down but by bit and after a minute it seemed to help and I was able to properly breathe.

"There that's good, much better huh?" I nodded and sat up crossing my legs.

"How did you know to do that?" I asked quietly looking down at my lap.

"My nightmares started when I was twenty-five after I had to kill someone around sixteen in an assassination mission." He spoke truthfully.

"I need to let them know you're awake." He said teleporting away.

I took off the blanket and found a small red velvet box under it by my leg.

It looked just like the one my mom gave me but red.

I opened it to find it empty.

I looked on the inside of the top to see the silver writing.

"Your eyes will guide you just need to know where to look." Below it was a rootagon painted underneath the writing.

'if this is another gift from my mom then maybe she is referring to the other gifts.' I thought as I went to take off my necklace but paused.

'I don't have much chakra, I should wait.' I thought Laying back down.

I felt bandages on my right calf, left arm, and upper back.

This was going to be fun once all the meds wore off.

The door was suddenly busted open and in ran a frantic looking Sakura.

great.

"are you feeling alright?! does it hurt?! where?! who attacked you?! they wouldn't tell me anything." she spoke so fast to most it would have taken the fourth Hokage to translate but i managed to catch a few words as tears began to prick her eyes.

"Sakura you need to calm down I am fine, I'm breathing, right? I'm alive and that means I will heal and it's not like I was forever going to be in a coma so see I'm alright." as soon as i finshed speaking I froze on the spot and tears started to pour down sakura's cheeks.

'shit that was a really bad choice of words.' i thought as she cried.

"Sakura calm down I didn't mean Sasuke, Sasuke isn't pale or sweating like Kakashi and he is just fine and has a lot better chance of living because he isn't in the bingo book and isn't trying to be assassinated right now SO YOU NEED TO STOP FEELING SORRY FOR YOUR SELF AND THINK ABOUT HOW I FEEL! THE LAST PERSON I HAVE IN MY LIFE WAS ALMOST KILLED AND YOU DONT SEE ME CRYING MY EYES OUT SO PULL YOUR SELF TOGETHER!" my voice became more and harsher as I spoke and got to the point I started yelling at her.

she looked at me shocked and then ran out of the room crying harder than before.

"she could at least have shut or slammed the door." I grumbled laying back down and rolling on my side enjoying the silence.

"well, that was an unexpected turn of events, about damn time someone gave her a reality check." the anbu's voice came from the corner.

shit.

I had forgotten about him.
