~December 6th~

Today was another day me and Clocky go out together to kill. Needless to say I was excited, I always was when it came to spending time with her. It's about eight in the morning and we're just getting up. I was almost completely ready to go, Clockwork however, was not. She was still laying in bed, her hair was a tangled mess and her face was buried into the pillows.
"Do we have to go out." I barely heard her through the pillow.
"U-unfortunately we d-do. C-come o-on we h-have t-to leave b-before s-sunrise." I said.
"Ugghhh...fine." she sat up and her hair fell in front of her face as she slumped her shoulders.
"Wait! It's winter the sun doesn't rise for another hour." She said trying to milk out any and all sleep she could get.
"L-let m-me rephrase that. W-we h-have t-to be i-in t-town by sunrise. No one w-wil b-be a-awake so it'll b-be easier t-to m-move a-around."
"Ugh....why do you hate me." She complained. I chuckled at her dramatic whining.
"I-I d-don't hate y-you, you're j-just b-being dramatic."
"I am not being dramatic." She crawled out of bed and slumped herself on the floor.
"I'm gonna die right here."
"You're g-gonna b-be fine. C-come on, g-get r-ready and I'll m-make u-us something t-to e-eat o-on the w-way."
"Ok." She gave in and stretched before making her way to the bathroom. I chuckled again at her ridiculousness and made my way downstairs.

I decided to make us a couple breakfast sandwiches and cups of coffee, sometimes I regret ever letting Clocky try my coffee. She addicted. I piled eggs, bacon and cheese onto two pieces of toast and wrapped them in foil. Then I started the coffee machine and grabbed Clocky's favorite flavors to add; hazelnut and vanilla. She said the vanilla make the chocolate flavor creamier. I was mixing them in when the kitchen door opened revealing the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Clocky wore a dark blue crop top and black skinny jeans with matching black converse. Woah.
"Morning." She said sweetly with an equally beautiful smile.
"G-good m-morning." I said.
"Whatcha making?" She asked peeking over to see the cups of coffee.
"Coffee!" She squealed.
"Y-yeah,.your f-favorite." She looked at me with a questioning eyebrow.
"Milk?"
"Y-yup."
"Two spoons of hazelnut?"
"Yup."
"One of vanilla?"
"Y-yes Clocky. I k-know y-your favorite." I said handing her the cup. She eyed it before taking a sip....and smiled.
"It's perfect. Thank you Toby." She said kissing me on the cheek. I blushed but replied.
"Y-you're perfect C-Clocky."

I handed Clocky her sandwich and we headed out into the forest.
"W-we better h-hurry, i-it's a little p-past e-eight thirty so w-we're behind."
"Ok." Clocky said as she stuffed her face with her sandwich. We walked for about twenty minutes before reaching the town's forest line. The streets had a few more people than it usually does but that's just because we got here a little later. We checked around for anyone around and when it was safe we sprinted out and into a nearby house's yard. We jumped the fence and began our spree.

It was around noon and Clocky was ahead by two people.
"A-are you s-sure y-you c-counted right?" She laughed at my question for the third time.
"Yes Toby, I counted right." She said as we made out way to the last house of the day. We were only assigned thirty people today, which it about to four or five o'clock, but with two it's much faster.
"It's not always a race to see who reaches their limit first, Toby."
B-but that's w-what m-makes working f-fun. T-to m-me, Hoodie a-and M-Masky at least." I said.
"Fine, I have thirteen and you have twelve. We each take one more house and see who kills and returns to the forest line first. Deal?" She proposed.
"D-deal."

We split ways and I made my way into a small homes backyard. I found the basement window and made my way in. The room was cluttered but had a good amount of space here and there. I listened and heard multiple voice coming from upstairs. How to get them down? I asked myself. I looked around and saw a power box mounted to the wall across from me and a dark shadow underneath the stairs.
"Bingo." I said as I pulled a hatchet and cut the wires running under the box. A commotion of 'what happened" erupted and soon enough I heard the steps make their way to the basement door. I quickly and quietly moved under the stairs and sat still in the shadow.

A man in his late thirties appeared and made his way down the stairs. Upon seeing the box he didn't notice my slash under it, when he did it was too late.
"What the he-" he never finished he sentence as my hatchet came down on the back of his head. He fell hard and loud.
"Michael? What was that?" A feminine voice called down. He didn't answer, of course, and her steps began to descend. I his back under the stairs and waited.
"Chris, come down here with me." The voice said shakily. A second set of steps appeared.
"What is it?" A husky voice said.
"Michael went down. I heard a thud and he didn't answer." There was a small pause.
"Hey Mikey, you alright?" The man called down.
"Mikey this isn't funny." Shortly after two pairs of step began to make their way down the stairs. They gasped in horror as they saw their friend. They ran over to try and help their friend, but now it was their turn. I took my chance and threw a hatchet at the man, hitting him in the back. He yelled and screamed, the woman saw and screamed with him. As he rolled on the floor in pain I decided to make them aware of my presence. I stepped out from under the stairs and into the light.  The man layed on the floor, helpless, and the woman stood like a deer in headlights. Just as she opened her mouth to scream I took one quick and hard swing at her neck.
"H-heads up." I joked as her head rolled and her body fell. I turned my attention to the man, his face and hand were now covered in blood and he still layed on the floor trying to move away from me. He soon gave up and supported himself on his elbows and waited for his judgement. Interesting position...I thought. Rather than waste the energy I placed my second hatchet back in my left belt loop. The man looked confused, scared but confused. That was until I stepped on his chest putting pressure slowly, he screamed as the hatchet in his back pushed through his bones and muscles until I felt it slightly push onto the bottom of my shoe. I moved my foot and he died seconds later.

Looking around and admiring my good work, I searched the house for anything interesting. I took some cash from their wallets and looked around. Even though we rarely go out some money to use if we do helps, plus it sometimes makes the scene look like a robbery gone wrong. We also sometimes search our victim's houses for anything that catches our eyes, furniture odds and ends here and there, trinkets really. Most of the things we fill our rooms with we got from homes of victims. I found nothing and decided to leave.

As I made my way out ten or so minutes have passed, Clocky can't be done yet... I win. I thought and walked back to the forest line. As I got there I noticed a figure made it's way to the forest line too. You've got to be kidding me. Clocky stood across from me and I knew we were thinking the same exact thing. Just as I did she sprinted to the forest line. We were about the same distance away from the forest line so it would be fair. Eventually we managed to move next to each other. We ran besides each other and occasionally glanced at each other checking where we were. As we reached the line I noticed Clocky start to pick up her speed and pass me, I would've let her win...but that's just not me. As we reached the line I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her to my chest as I turned to land on my back. She squealed and we laughed as we landed together. She now layed on my chest laughing with me as we caught our breaths. Laying with her was comfortable despite the hard rocks and and sticks I was laying on. We stopped and were now staring into each other's eyes, time slowed as we started to lean into each other. Sirens in the distance interrupted us as we both cleared our throats and chuckled nervously. She got off me and I followed.
"Soo...I won right?" She said with a cheeky smile.
"W-well t-technically I passed i-it f-first."
"You did not." I chuckled.
"F-fine...tie." I said suddenly.
"No! I won." She said giggling.
"O-ok, y-you win." I said. She smiled and kissed my cheek, making me blush.
"Thank you Toby."
"N-no problem."

We walked back to the house together in peace. Sometime on our way back Clocky grabbed my hand and held it, then she leaned her head on my shoulder as we walked.

I loved moments like these, where we could be doing absolutely nothing and still enjoy each other's company. To me these were the moments that counted.
