Doubt

"Rott. You can talk."
The cave was silent aside from the occasional flutter of bat wings in the air, and small beeps coming from the many monitors. Shivani stares unblinkingly from her seat at the dark canine standing in front of her in shock. It felt so surreal. Rott was here. He was really here. He returned. And could talk now, apparently.
And wait—did he have an accent?
"Yes. Very strange, hearing...my voice out loud." Rott brings a clawed hand up to lightly grasp his throat.
"Should we give them a moment?" Barry leans back asking his teammates.
"Hell no! I'm not leaving her alone in here with that!" Arthur's bright eyes weren't leaving the dark creature's figure for a second. They were all still a little tense. But at least the dog hadn't attacked them.
"He won't hurt her," Bruce assures him.
"Bruce is right. He won't hurt her. Technically speaking, he can't hurt her physically." Victor confirms. "He's one of her creations. The one from Shivani file; The leader."
"His face. It's as if he's been evolving." Diana said.
Their voices were a distant echo to the young beauty. Shivani took the time to analyze Rott while his eyes continued to be trained on her. With his hood down from his head you could see his face more clearly. His usually rough, and furry features now held a certain smoothness and shine to it with a little scruff under his jaw, the glowing orange streaks across his darkened skin much more apparent than they had been before. His nose even appeared to be wet. His abnormal ears were big and pointed towards the ceiling, the creases and harsh lines that would be around his eyes were gone.
"Should we introduce ourselves?" Barry asked the others unsure.
"I know who you six are." Rott didn't care to glance back at them.
"Oh okay. C-cool."
When Shivani went to stand from her seat Rott had his sleeved arm out ready to grab her as she hunched forward and started coughing again.
Thankfully, there wasn't the metallic taste of blood on her tongue this time. When the coughing came to a stop and the pain in her throat subside she took a deep breath through her nose. His scent filled her nostrils. The tattooed beauty had expected to smell blood and other foul things coming from him. But instead it was more smokey, with fresh pine from the trees surrounding the large Manor and a hint of fresh dirt. Not just in his smell, but specs of it was also on his clothing. Rott helped her lean up and against the table nearest to them.
"This is weird." Shivani sniffles. "This isn't like you at all. And, yeah you do look different."
"So do you. Your eyes have lost their spark of hope. You seem lost, Mistress." Rott's frown deepened.
