I woke up with a start. I had heard my dad yelling. What was going on? My dad never shouted for no reason.

I got out of bed and slipped on a robe. Walking towards my room door, I twisted the handle and stepped out into the hallway. The air was cold and something didn't feel right.

I walked down the stairs. I could hear my parents and other voices. They were coming from the study. The voices were getting louder.

"Then do something about it! No one will lay a finger on her!" that sounded like dad.

"But your majesty, we have tried everything. Nothing is going to stop them from entering the realm. They have become stronger." that sounded like a guard.

"Oh my poor baby... what did she ever do to them..." mom was crying. And she? Was this something to do with me?

"Don't worry darling. No one is going t-"

"Mom? Dad? What's going on here?" I asked entering the study. This was getting very scary. Were they talking about me?!

"Arabella? What are you doing here?!" dad asked raising both his eyebrows. He was clearly shocked.

"What are you guys talking about?" I asked. What was happening? Who wasn't going to touch me? There were too many questions.

"Arabella..."

"Their coming for you" dad said looking at the ground.

"Who?! Who's coming for me dad?!" I asked. I was shaking. What in the world was happening. Were they talking about the humans?!

"Humans... they want you..." mom sobbed out.

"You're not going to let them take me are you?! Mom? Dad? Please answer me!" I was on the verge of tears. They couldn't take me.

"Arabella, I want you to listen to me ok?" dad said leading me towards the chair. This wasn't going to be good. I could feel it.

Dad tensed up a little. That only happened when bad things happened.

"Dad? You're tensing up. Something is definitely wrong..." I said my voice full of worry. Part of it for my safety. I was scared. I was only 18. What was I supposed to do?! Let them take me?

"They want you and only you Arabella. They said that if you are not handed over to them they will destroy the whole fairy realm and kill every single fairy." dad explained.

"So you're saying..."

I gasped as soon as the words left my mouth. He was giving me to them?!

I couldn't belive it! My own father, sending me to those evil,wretched "humans"?!

"Dad please don't send me there! Mom please!" I started to cry. The tears were pouring out. Was this real?

"Not against you're own will darling leaflet..." dad soothed me. He was trying his hardest not to break down. I could feel it. Mom stroked my hair lovingly.

"It's you're choice darling. You have until tomorrow morning at breakfast. Don't pressure yourself." dad said.

"Yes darling, go get some sleep and think very carefully about what you tell us tomorrow." mom said trying to smile but there was nothing happy about this situation.

If I said no the fairy realm would be destroyed because of me. And if I went, maybe I might not come back. Or I might come back...

I just decided to go to sleep. I was tired after all.

*The next morning*

I woke up. I had made my choice. I was going.

I couldn't just say no because we would definitely lose against them...

Mom and dad would be proud. Maybe.

I had packed last night. I was worried I would have to leave right away.

Opening my room door, I walked to the dining room. Sure enough, Christian, dad and mom were there.

"Ara?" dad asked.

"What did you choose?" Christian asked his voice cracking slightly at the end.

I took a deep breath. This was a long shot.

"I'm going..."

Sorry, this chapter sucks. I know. It's short but it was worth the read. Just to know Arabella is actually leaving.
