Caitlin's PoV
I couldn't believe my eyes.
Laying beside me was Barry, still in his suit from last night. Being stranded alone in an island was bad. But being stranded with your ex? That's worse.
I slowly stood up from where I lay on the sand, the feel of my dress drenched in seawater and sand had me groaning even more. If I'm going to survive in this island, I would have to have a change of clothes. This dress I'm wearing doesn't cover much and I'm afraid it'll be torture when the cold night comes especially now that it wasn't comfortable as it is.
I immediately looked for something that I can use. Luckily, the boat must've crashed here with us and I'm hoping against all hopes that the important stuff it contains were still there.
Letting out a sigh of relief, I clapped my hands seeing the duffel bag still intact. The contents of the boat were seemingly unharmed, unlike the vessel which looked like broken beyond repair.
As I was rummaging through the other things to use, I heard another groan from Barry, signaling that he's already waking up. And I'm pretty much sure he'd be surprised as I am when I first did. I know my natural instinct was to panic but the doctor inside me knew one step ahead that it wasn't going to change anything. Going back to survival mode, I ignored Barry, letting him deal with this whole situation on his own.
Besides, we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him stubbornly chasing after me when I specifically told him not to.
This is all his fault.

Barry's PoV
Everything was a blur from last night. All I remembered was chasing after Caitlin and now I'm here stuck in an island with her. I don't know what to feel exactly but the thought of being here with her makes things easier for me to deal with.
I have been calling for her for awhile now and I'm pretty much sure she could hear me from where she sat rummaging on the now broken boat. By the looks of it, she's obviously ignoring me, probably blaming me for getting ourselves into this mess.
I have no idea how are we gonna get back home or if we're ever going to get back but one thing's for sure. We'll only survive in this deserted island if we help each other. And if saying sorry and taking all the blame was the first step in doing that, I'd pretty much give it a shot.
I made my way over to her. She's in the middle of sorting out things that we could use and maybe any tool that could help us get out of here. If I was in this situation with someone else, I know their first instinct was to panic but this is Caitlin - the strongest person I know, both mentally and emotionally.
"Caitlin-"
Before I could even touch her arm, she walked passed me, taking the bag of supplies along with her. She made her way to the edge of where the tress started lining up, eyes looking for the perfect spot to set up camp. I immediately followed her after double checking the contents of the boat.
When she finally decided to settle in the most shady part of the island, I took the spot before her, trying to catch her eyes but she doesn't have any intention of acknowledging my presence, I did what I had to do.
"Look Caitlin, if we're going to make it out here alive, we have to help each other. Who knows what's out there in the forest? Maybe we aren't the only people in here. It could be dangerous."
