chapter 8

The feet noises came closer to us making me  have mixed feelings.

"Aaaaaa!!!!" Lucy and I screamed on the top of our lungs. Seeing this beast sent me shivers. But in fact this beast has hidden too. So basically all of us were scared of each other.

The creature soon came out to where it was hiding and started to get his things he had dropped soon after we had screamed. I help him out and he flinches,  giving the last item dropped to him.

"Mind if I ask, what are you?" I asked the creature looking down to his feet.

He laughed nervously. "I-I'm a foun and how about you two,are you some beardless dwarves?"

did he just say that?

Oh WOW. Wonderful.

I cleared my throat and put my two hands to my hips,like I always do when I want to clarify something "No,Were girls!"

  "And actually I'm tallest in my class," Lucy added, crossing her arms.

The faun looked at us weirdly with a mix of a confused look. Him looking at me like that made me feel awkward.

"You mean to say,you're daughters of Eve?" he asks

"My mother's name is Polly,and-"

"-Yes,but you two are humans?"

"Yes, of course." Lucy says frowning

"What are you two doing here??" he asks

"Well it's a long story..." I started

"We were playing hide and seek, we decided to hide in a spare room which had a wardrobe, we hid there and BAM we ended up in this place."

He furrowed his eyebrows"Spare oom, is that in Narnia?!"

The word Narnia struck me. It sounds familiar. I think I've heard it before.. Like from a dream.

"What's Narnia?" Lucy asks.

He laughs madly and thinks were joking It long for him to realize we were not.

"You don't really know do you?" He asks

"Well duh, we just came here how do you expect us to know this place?!"

"Girls, your in it! Everything from this lamppost all the way to cair paravel is Narnia. Every stick and stone, every icicle is Narnia."

Lucy and I stared at this amazing world we just discovered minutes ago. Who knew shy and un-popular Julia who lives in the middle of no where would discover this place????

When I was little I would always get bullied. My mom cheers me up by saying "you're special,Julia. You have what others don't have, always remember that" I missed those times where I could tell my mom everything and giving me pep talks.

"A-allow me to introduce myself, my name is Tumnus" he said and  bows.

"Pleased to meet you, Mr. Tumnus! I'm Lucy Pevensie." Lucy says as she reach out her hand for Tumnus to shake it.

He did not move nor shake Lucy's hand but instead he just stared at it.

"Ummm, Tumnus" I started "You shake it."

He turned "Why??"

I shrugged. I actually don't really know the exact answer for that. 

Mr. Tumnus shook Lucy's hand but in a different way that made me want to laugh. Of course I won't laugh! That's plain rude so I covered my mouth.

"I'm Julia," I say to Tumnus.

As soon as I said my name he looked at me like he wants to say something important.

He furrowed his eyebrows "You're Lady Polly's daughter?!" He asked."You're the girl who has magical powers! More powerful than the white witch! The prophecy is true!"

I am shocked at Every single word he said. It made me want to scream. And me having powers?? Pfft.If I had I'd probably use my powers to bring back my siblings by now. One thing I don't understand is how does he know my mom?? Is he stalker or something?

I have to clarify this.

"You must be mistaken, I don't have any magical powers,and how do you know my mother's name?" I say slowly.

"u u mmmm," he stuttered."Your mother went here along with a boy named Digory many years ago."

"What?!" Lucy and I say together.

"I said-" I cut him of

"I heard what you said, I-I'm just shocked."

"You never told me your mother came here , Julia!" Lucy says

"I didn't know either," I reply back.

"Well, Julia,and Lucy from the shining city of wardrobe, in the wondrous land of spare room, how would it be if you two had tea with me?" The creature says.

"Well thank you very much," Lucy says smiling.

"But we should probably be heading back," I say.

"No! Please," he begged

I didn't trust Tumnus of course. I have this strong feeling he's doing something.

"Lucy, let's go back" I whisper as I held on to her hand, stopping her from walking towards the faun.

"Why?!"

"Just..please follow me"

"C'mon it's not everyday I could make a new friend!" Tumnus begged again

"Please!!!" Lucy begged in squeaky voice.

I gave in and sighed. "Fine...Fine"

I was only doing this for the sake of Lucy,but if Tumnus hurts Lucy and I, I may not be able to forgive myself..

A smile so sweet grew in Lucy's face,it made me smile.
