Chapter 2: D-day

At 7am your alarm went off, you quickly turned it off and went back to sleep, until you realised that today was the day YG asked for your songs. Even though it was this early, you wanted to practice before it and check everything to see if it's okay. You started your morning as usual, with a cup of coffee and your omelette. You didn't bother putting on makeup or wearing anything special, because you never did that for practice and you wanted to think of this day just as any other, in case it didn't go as planned. You were pretty nervous for today, you didn't know if he'll like it or not, you were still confused about the hole situation, again because it was the first time it has happened.
Suddenly you remember that today was the day of the YG vs JYP trainees thing. Because of all the excitement you totally forgot about that until now. Of course you still hoped your friends would do well, but you were maybe a bit more concentrating on your own thing now.
You left your dorm and went to the practice room.

After a few hours it was 13:40 and you decided it was the time you start going to the room YG told you yesterday. Your stomach was like a roller coaster, now the nervousness has hit you.
You started to panic a bit and you pluged in your earphones as soon as that happened, only for one song, just to calm yourself down. When the song ended you found yourself in front of the door. You took out your earphones and you were a bit taken back because you heard a lot of voices in the room. You thought he was going to be alone or with a few other people, but this definitely wasn't a few people. You brushed it off and knocked on the door and there was a 'Come in' heard from the other side of the door. You stepped in.

"Excuse me for interrupting you and good afternoon sir, I came as you told me here at..." you stopped what you were saying when you realised who was in the room. There were your friends, some other guys that seemed to be JYP trainees and YG and JYP themselves. You almost dropped everything you were holding.

"Hii Y/N—" YG started, but I interrupted him because I was in a shock.

"Oh my God, I'm so sorry sir I didn't know this was happening now, I—" as I started to apologise he cut me off.

"Oh no no Y/N, you came to the right place, I told you today here at 2pm, didn't I?" he said.

"Um yes, but-" I was now even more confused as I looked at my friends and they looked back at me just confused as I am.

"Don't worry, I know you're probably confused now but let me explain" he laughed a bit.

He turned to JYP and said something to him that I couldn't hear and suddenly JYP stood up.

"Y/N it's really you! Oh my, you've grown up so much!" he smiled as he walked over to me and patted me on the head.

"Ah yes, it's me. Good afternoon sir, I apologise for not greeting you earlier I was in a bit of a shock. I'm surprised and flattered that you remember me!" I said giggling. You see, I met JYP a few times before, but the first time we met was when he and YG saw me in the street on a busking event. Maybe later I'll you how that went down, but for now all you need to know is that I went to YG.

"Of course I remember you, you broke my heart when you went to YG." he said acting hurt. I mean he was a bit hurt by my decision then but he got over it.

"Aah yeah, sorry again about that." I said, trying to hide my laughing.

"No worries, now YG told me you have something to show us today, I'm really looking forward to it. You know my expectations for you are always high, don't let me down." he said as he went back to his chair.

I popped my eyes at YG, trying to get an explanation for this. And he told me to sit down next to my friends after I great the other trainees. I did what he told me to do. We all introduced ourselves and I have to say, they were pretty handsome and nice. YG then explained how this happened and why I was here.

"Yaa you should have told us Y/N that you're also participating in this!" Yedam whispered to me.

"I didn't know this until just a minute ago idiot do you ever listen?!" I said while hitting his arm and giving him the my look that he always gets when he says something stupid.

"I think it's awesome that you're also performing now, they're gonna love you." said Raesung and they all nodded.

"Yeah hope it goes well for all of us, I'm just still in a bit of shock haha" I said trying not to get nervous again.

"Okay then YG can go first with the group performance." said JYP.

I wished good luck ti my friends as they prepared for their song. They performed even better than yesterday if that was even possible. After they finished I was so happy and proud and again I clapped my hands like a proud mom. JYP liked the performance and YG was satisfied, which was all they needed.
Now it was time for JYP trainees, who I learned their name was Stray Kids, I mean the name of their group.

They started their performance and I was shook. They were great, more than great, I didn't expect them to be this good, but then I remembered that they were for JYP and no wonder I was amazed with their dancing.
I looked at YG who was as surprised as me for a moment, but he liked the performance as well.

The next one was Yedam. He, of course, rocked the stage and JYP was also proud of where he was now even though he was amazing as a child a few years back. Then Chan,Woojin and Jisung performed 'As if it's your last' by Blackpink. After they finished I thought to myself that these guys were no joke, this Chan amazed me with his producing and their singing was great.
Now it was time for Changbin and Jisung to perform their song 'Matryoshka'. Jisung started rapping and he was pretty good, I thought his singing was great just a few minutes ago and now I realise he raps even better. Then Changbin started rapping. When he did his line "Matryoshka" I swear my mouth dropped. His voice, his rapping... everything about him at that moment seemed perfect. He looked like a pro. After they finished their performance, Midam realised I was still staring at Changbin and he snapped me out of my thoughts as he snapped his fingers.
"Earth to Y/N." he whispered to me and I pulled myself back together.

"Ah yeah sorry I was just so impressed by their performance—" I started but he cut me off by saying "Get it together, you're next."
Then I started getting nervous again, because I wanted to show how good I am to YG, JYP and now, because they took me by surprise, Stray Kids as well, especially this Changbin guy.

"You ready Y/N?" JYP asked and I answered with 'yes', I looked at YG for a moment and he shoot me his famous 'don't let me down' look and I looked at my friends that were cheering for me and saying 'you can do it'.

I performed my song 'Icy grl' (it's a song by Saweetie, but let's pretend it's yours now haha). Just as Changbin provoked us, YG trainees, a few minutes ago, I did it as well now to Stray Kids (by provoke you would know what I mean if you watched this episode).

"Wow she's amazing!" said Chan and they agreed. Changbin didn't take his eyes off of you for even a second, just like you didn't when he performed. At one moment your eyes met and you felt yourself getting red, so you had to turn away quickly and continue like nothing happened.

I finished my performance and was pretty satisfied but then the anxiety hit me while I was waiting for their response. I looked at YG and he gave me the approving nod and I almost jumped because of happiness.

"Indeed Y/N, you never fail to amaze me!" said JYP and YG looked so proud. There were a few more coments after that and then it was time to leave.

"JYP and I have to go through some stuff now so if you want you can stay here and get to know each other or get back to your practice." said YG as he was leaving.
"Y/N you should go back to practice." he added and I felt sad for some reason. I know he's protective of me, especially around boys, but he should let me socialise sometimes.

"Can't she stay a bit, we would like to get to know her." said Chan as they all agreed.

"It won't take long, we'll make sure she gets back to practice within an hour or two." said Yedam with his puppy eyes.

"Okay, but 2 hours tops." said YG as he left with JYP.

"Thank you, sir." We all said in union.
