"I guess it has been, like, five years?"

I nervously knocked on the door and waited. I could hear my friends inside talking, along with a lot of male voices, and some music. Just as I was about to knock again, the door swung open, and stood in front of me was a new person, a tall boy with a warm smile.
"You must be the last of the girls, Echo is it?" He asked and I nodded. "I'm Chosen." He welcomed me into the apartment, and I was instantly engulfed with all different aftershave and various other smells, including smoke. I walked over to Sadie, who noticed me and smiled.
"Echo! This is Jae." She said, gesturing to the guy standing across from her, he gave me a small smile and looked me up and down. I looked away and noticed a set of doors leading to a balcony, with another guy standing outside with Sophia, who was smoking a cigarette. I could only see the back of him, he was pretty tall, maybe a little taller than Finn, with a mop of light brown curls.
"Who's that?" I asked Sadie, nodding my head over into their direction.
"Oh, that's Wyatt, I think."
I decided to get up and go out onto the balcony, there were so many people in the small apartment, it was beginning to get stuffy and I needed some air.
"Hey Soph." I said, stepping out and helping myself to a cigarette from her pack; I didn't smoke much, only when I was feeling a little anxious.
"Oh, hey Echo, you finally came up." She laughed, before turning to the guy. "Wyatt, this is Echo, the quiet one of our group." He turned around to look at me, and our eyes locked, it was like we both thought exactly the same thing at the same time. He looked me over as I did the same to him, observing his face as he did mine... I knew him.
"Guys..." Sophia said, I looked away from Wyatt and to her.
"I know you." Wyatt said, stepping closer to me. He seemed so focused on trying to figure out who I was.
"I think I know you too." I chuckled awkwardly, running a hand through my hair and looking up at him briefly... he had beautiful light brown eyes. All of a sudden, I had a flashback and realised exactly where we knew each other from. "High school!" I said, louder than expected.
"Oh shit, yes!" Wyatt said, finally cracking a smile and stepping back in shock.
"I left in ninth grade, we used to be in the same classes!" I said, I couldn't help but smile. I remembered Wyatt from when we were both much younger, I couldn't believe how much he'd grown... he was a man now.
"Yeah, I remember! Wow... you look different." Wyatt said, looking me up and down.
"So do you." I agreed with him.
"I guess it has been, like, five years?" He chuckled, holding the balcony door open for me as we walked in.
"Echo! That's your name right?" I heard someone shouting, and realised it was Jack. I nodded and headed over to him, where everyone else was. "You need to drink, we're doing shots!" He said, shoving a plastic cup with god knows what inside into my hand, and counting down from three. I joined in as everyone drank the shot quickly, except of Sadie of course, she hated drinking.

Me and my apartment had to of been at the party for a couple of hours, I hadn't drank much, I knew I became a little louder and more confident when I was drunk, I didn't want to embarrass myself so I was holding back.
"Spin the bottle!" Finn shouted in my ear, placing his hands on my shoulders behind me, he was clearly drunk. I rolled my eyes before taking a seat on the couch in between Jack and Chosen. "Jae, you go first."
I watched as Jae leant forward and spun the bottle, and we all cringed as it slowed down to a stop, landing on Wyatt.
"Oh fuck." Wyatt laughed, rolling his eyes, before Jae leant over and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Wyatt went to spin the bottle, before Jack pushed his arm out of the way and span it instead.
"My turn!" We all sat on the edge of our seats, as the bottle slowed down. I looked a way for a moment to take a sip of my drink, before the room filled with "Ohhhh's" and "Oh shit's". I looked back to see that the bottle had landed on me.
"Go on girl!" Sophia shouted across from me, and I smiled and rolled my eyes before turning to Jack, who had an infectious smirk plastered on his face.
"Come here." He said quietly, gently placing his hand on the side of my face, leaning in. Before I knew it, our lips crashed together and our tongues intertwined, and I felt myself pulling him closer and running my fingers through his hair. I felt his hand on the inside of my thigh before suddenly we got pulled away from each other.
"Save it for the bedroom, guys!" Finn yelled. "We need to keep playing." Me and Jack both shared an awkward laugh, and I looked over to see Millie and Sophia smirking at me. We all returned our focus to the game, and this time Finn span, and it landed on Millie; she couldn't have hid her excitement even if she tried. The two of them did the same as me and Jack, and almost didn't stop until they were separated by Wyatt waving his hand between them. I looked over at Millie, who gave me and the girls a sly mischievous smile.
---------
I was sprawled on the couch in the boy's apartment, the energy had died down a little, but Millie, Sophia, Jack and Finn were still going strong in the corner of the room, drinking. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the time; 4:40am. Shit, it was late, and I was pretty sure I had my first welcoming lecture in the morning... everyone else probably did too.
"How are you holding up?" I was snapped out of my thoughts by Wyatt standing above me. "Lift your legs, I want to sit." I smiled up at him and moved my legs and he slid himself onto the couch next to me. I went to sit up, but I felt him touch my thigh, and I felt goosebumps all over my body. "It's okay, you can rest your legs on me." He chuckled.
"I'm so fucking tired, I don't know how them four are still going." I said, burying my head into the couch next to me.
"I know, I like a good party but I know when to stop drinking, they are going to be hanging tomorrow." Wyatt said and shook his head, before pulling out his phone. I caught myself looking him over, he had gotten really attractive, and I had only just noticed it. His curls were perfectly placed on his head, his light brown eyes were so striking, and he had formed some good but subtle muscles in the last five years.
"You okay?" My eyes widened as I noticed that Wyatt had caught me staring at him, he looked slightly confused but had a small smile on his face.
"Uh, yeah." I said awkwardly, sitting myself up. "I should go to bed, I have a welcome lecture in the morning." I quickly stood up and straightened myself out.
"Oh-okay." Wyatt stuttered. "I'll see you around, Echo."
