I wish I could say that Gray returned to Zach's side before we got off the ferry at Isla Nublar

I wish I could say that Gray returned to Zach's side before we got off the ferry at Isla Nublar. Or that maybe Zach noticed Gray wasn't by his side, or even that Zach had joined Gray and I as we looked out at the open water and spotted the Island on the horizon as we neared it. But neither of those scenarios happened. Well, the second one did...but not until people were starting to leave the ferry. The moment we docked, Gray wanted to rush off into the crowd of people, probably in order to beat them off of the ferry, but I had to keep him back. I wanted off that ferry just as much as he did, I've been wanting to see Uncle Owen since...well since his last visit three weeks ago. And well, that wasn't really a visit. It was more of an, none of us can believe we're here, why couldn't this be under better circumstances, he left the next day kind of visit. However, I knew that I couldn't exactly let Gray wander off on his own, so I insisted that we both stay in our spot, that way when Zach realized Gray was missing- he wouldn't have to look very far. As expected, once people on the top deck started to clear out- Zach spotted us. His expression was different from the one he's had on his face the entire trip. Instead of just looking miserable, he actually looked worried and then relieved. I guess he's capable of feeling one emotion and not being a total ass. And while I wish I could say that the reunion was sweet, it didn't really last long. Zach didn't really seem all that thrilled at his little brother's excitement to get off of the ferry. Guess the moody ass was back. As we exited the ferry, I noticed Zach had his headphones down around his neck. Which meant he could hear Gray talking to me about how excited he was that we were finally on the island and that he hasn't seen his Aunt in so long. Once we walked off of the ferry, I noticed how Gray got a little more pep in his step and started to walk a little ahead of Zach. I adjusted my backpack straps and rolled my suitcase beside me as I walked alongside Zach. "Would it kill you to smile? At least for Gray?" Zach looked at me and then put on a fake smile. I patted him on his shoulder and smiled. "Much better."

I could have sworn that I heard him chuckle as we caught up with Gray, who came to a stop just a bit in front of us. As the crowds of people moved around us, Zach and I followed Gray's focus to see a woman dressed in business clothes holding an iPad mini with their name typed on it. "Where's Aunt Claire?"

"That's not your Aunt?" I asked, looking at them.

I could see that the tiny hint of happiness that was in Zach's expression faded the moment his eyes scanned the iPad. He looked like he was about to say something, but instead, he let out a deep sigh and walked ahead of Gray and I and towards the lady. "I don't understand, where's my Aunt Claire?" Gray asked, looking at me.

"I don't know. Maybe she'll meet you once you guys get inside the park." I replied, nudging him ahead of me.

"Ah, you must be Gray, I'm Zara" the woman said, she had a pretty heavy British accent. She looked at me, cocking her head to the side. "Claire didn't tell me that your girlfriend was coming to Zach."

"I'm not his girlfriend," I said, looking immediately at him

"She's not my girlfriend." He said, looking at me.
