What's Up, Joker?

Joker was bored. He was sitting on his armchair in front of the TV, different shows droning on mindlessly in the background. Harley skated a few circles around him. "You bored too, boo-boo?" she asked, finally stopping to the left of him. "Yeah. Isn't everyone? Ugh," he replied. A few villains were building a... shelf? Or was it a couch? "And I can't think of anything fun to do." He slouched in his chair, pouting a little. "That's not like you, puddin', something on your mind?"

Harley skated over to Joker and rested her elbows on the arm of the chair. Joker nodded and slouched further, his eyebrows furrowed in a look of irritated boredom. "So? What is it? What's crowding your thoughts?" Harley asked, smiling at her friend. Joker thought for a moment before replying. "It's... Batman, Harls. He's on my mind," he mumbled with a new look of slight confusion starting to emerge. Harley giggled.

"What?" 

"Oh, nothin', puddin'."

Silence.

Then Harley giggled again.

"Harls you're scaring me."

"It's not like you to be scared, boo-boo."

"What did I say? I don't remember," he said, flustered.

Harley sighed and smiled at Joker. "Boo, if you have the bat on your mind, in what way are you thinkin' about him?" she asked. Joker looked at Harley, puzzled. "Well... I'm just thinking about how he beats me every time we fight, and.. the way we.. 'confessed' in front of that sunset," Harley chuckled, 'That was so romantic.' 

"And the way I can sometimes see his... his beautiful eyes if I'm close enough, and..." he whispered. He was left gazing at the ceiling in thought. Harley put a hand to where her heart would be and grinned. "Boo-boo, I think you have a crush on the dark knight!" she squealed, her inner Batjokes shipper showing slightly. "W-what? N-no, that's not possible.." the clown stuttered. "I think it is~" Harley cooed.

"Harls, you don't understand! How could a villain, like myself, like a hero, like him? It just doesn't make SENSE!"  Joker shouted, gaining a few glances from other villains, to which he growled, "What're you all looking at? Get back to... Doing whatever you were doing!" with a wave of his hand.

"See Harley? Even the other villains think you're crazy to think that," he huffed. "Two things, boo-boo. One; we're literally both crazy, and two; Bane ships it as well." 

At the mention of his name, Bane looked up and shouted, "Hey! You said you'd keep it a secret, Harley!" Joker growled and yelled, "SHUT UP, BANE!" And Bane did so. "Anyways, boo-boo, I hope you can understand that we'll all be supporting you when you finally confess your true feelings to Batman," Harley chirped with a grin. A few of the other villains nodded.

"I DON'T LIKE BATMAN!" screamed Joker, slamming his fists into the arms of the chair. He squeaked in pain. "Okay, OW THAT HURT-" he breathed, and curled into a ball, placing a pillow gently on top of himself. He whimpered softly, Harley patted him sympathetically. "It's okay, boo-boo, the pain of not being able to tell Batman your feelings will go away soon, when you tell him," Harley said smugly.

Joker let out a loud, high-pitched screech that caused all of the villains to cover their ears with their hands. After the screeching ended, Harley shuffled away, realising she wasn't helping whatsoever.

"Fine then!" Joker shouted. "If you all won't help me figure this out, then I'll figure it out myself!" He stood up and walked straight out the door of the villains' secret hideout. The villains looked at each other. "Shall we follow him?" asked the Penguin. "Probably," shrugged Harley. "Let's just wait for a bit, so he gets a head start."
