Ticking my Life Away

As high as the sky,

as low as the ground.

As shy as a butterfly,

a heart's thick pound.

A feeling of ecstasy,

deep in the soul,

a sight of pure fantasy,

beautifully whole.

A brilliant masterpiece,

a dove of pure light,

falling from a precipice,

adrenaline's delight

a star in the galaxy,

as pure as the sun,

a supernova,

craftfully done.

A ball of emotion,

dying to break free,

such loyal devotion,

is bound to melt me.

My heart is a candle,

burning today,

a timebomb ticking

my life away.

My eve, come here.

Take me somewhere

where love is dear

and money is a snare,

to trap the weakest,

and bind the strong

it brings lives to a mess,

its a dark, dark song.

Its like a million small devils,

men die to obtain.

And women as well,

it puts pandora to blame

It's life's disadvantage,

its a con to the world.

Its point of vantage

to set evil awhirl.

Its a drug to the bad,

its a waste of the good,

It drives humans mad,

like all values would.

Its an abomination as vile,

as a predator would be,

to a mouse in the wild,

like an eagle in a tree.

But nonetheless,

in a world so cruel,

there's a pro to the con,

a heavy load to a mule.

When life is a whip,

in the short of the back,

a kiss on the lip,

is a relief to the slap.

There's a feeling sent,

from the guideness above,

when the feeling is meant,

then you've fallen in love.
