Hey guys!!! Wow nearly 3 chapters in a few days! I can't help it, I just love writing this story. InlovewithaRockstar is right. There IS so much u can do with a doctor who story! So Selina is gonna come face to face with her first alien. But what alien? Let's find out....

I ran after the Doctor which in a long 18th century dress was not easy. We saw people running through the town and the sound of frightened shrieks filled my eyes.

"What do we do?" I asked, slightly panicking.

"Find out what's causing this mayhem." He answered calmly and picked up his speed. I sighed at his madness and continued running, hitching up my skirts along the way.

In the distance, we saw large flying birds. It was chaos. I was scared but I remained brave for the Doctor.

"What the heck are they?" I asked, pointing at the birds flying our way. They looked odd and like eagles. Only I knew they weren't

"Griffionites." The Doctor answered without hesitating. "They're aliens. Like gryphons but much bigger and scarier. They attack their prey by emitting a high-pitched screech that paralyses their victims. Then they feast on the person."

I grimaced, Then we had to stop them, But were we in danger of getting paralyzed? I didn't know. People were running towards building.

"Will we be paralyzed if they screech at us?" I asked the Doctor, worried.

He was quiet for a moment. "I don't think so. As long as we cover our ears. Meanwhile we have to figure out how to stop them." He said.

"Great. So we have to run and cover our ears at the same time. That'll be easy." I replied, sarcastically, He rolled his eyes.

"It'll be easy. If we need to communicate, I'll do a signal." He told me.

"Oh yeah?" What signal?" I asked, raising my eyebrows expectantly. This was gonna be funny.

"Hmm how about this?" He said, putting a finger to his lips and raising his eyebrows. I had to stop myself bursting into inappropriate laughter at his idea.

"What?" He asked, slightly offended.

I clapped a hand to my mouth and swallowed the laugh that threatened to burst through my lip. "Oh, nothing, But I know the raising eyebrows things is a definite dig at me."

He snorted. "Why would you think that? It was just something I came up with. Now come on." He retorted, picking up his speed.

"Yeah right." I mumbled, but caught him up. As we got closer, I could see the Griffionites more clearly. They were nothing like the myths described. They were  more ugly looking with hooked beaks and red eyes. Large wings protruded from their bodies and their claws were razor sharp. I was slightly terrified but also fascinated. My first aliens.

Suddenly the Griffiionites opened their beaks and a ear-piercing screech was let out. I clapped my hands to my ears and so did the Doctor. But the people were too concerned in running away that several of them instantly fell to the floor, rigid as a board.

I watched in horror as the Griffionites swooped down and started tearing into the stiff victims. "Noo!" I screamed. A Griffionite looked at us and started walking towards me. The Doctor jumped in front of me and pulled out a weird object, He pointed it at the bird and clicked a button.

The tip of the strange gadget slid open and a green light glowed out of the hole. The Griffionite squawked at him and he pressed another button. The green light shot at the monster, and it flopped down.

"What was that? What did you do to it?" I asked him, rapidly.

He turned around and showed it to me. "Sonic Screwdriver. I just stunned it. I can't defeat them with this. I'll have to use something but what? And you're can help me if you want?" He said.

I blinked. "Are you seriously daring me to help you fight those creatures with you?" I asked. He was mad.

"Why would I dare you?" He asked in confusion. "Whatever happened to try me?

I sighed. "That was when I was curious about an odd blue box on a street in Hatfield!" I retorted. "Not so curious about man eating mutant birds okay?"

He rolled my eyes. "Come on. A little action is good for you." He teased.

"Yeah but getting eaten by Griffonites isn't!" I argued. It suddenly occured to me that the Doctor was kind of reckless when it came to adventure and monsters.

"We won't get eaten, trust me. But we have to act fast." He said.

"Great. So a plan that we can think of, preferably in the Tardis?" I suggested, looking around. The Griffionites were still at large but for some reason they weren't coming near us. Maybe they were scared of the Doctor and that weird screwdriver of his,

"Okay. Come on. But like I said, we have to be quick. These things could devour the whole city in an hour if they want to." He said and started running. I sighed and started jogging.

"But why? Why feed on humans?" I asked him, quickly getting sick of this bloody gown with its long puffy skirt.

"Uh, thinking! The Griffionites are creatures from another dimension. They feed on humans as an source of energy to fly back and forth through two dimensions. They're messengers. But these ones are rouge. They just eat for the sake of it." Hr explained, panting.

"So what, we just send them back?" I asked, stopping as we reached the Tardis doors. He aimed his screwdriver at the lock and it opened instantly. We ran inside and he shut the doors before he answered.

"No, that wouldn't be ideal. These things are too dangerous. We have to destroy them." He explained, starting to fuss with the control panel.

"But how?" I asked, slightly. "By the time we come up with a plan, the whole population of this city could be eaten!"

"I know!" He said, slightly irritated. "But we don't have a choice. Now what destroys things?"

I thought hard, trying not to show that I was kinda stung by his tone with me. There had to be a weakness that reflected on them. Wait... reflection. "What about backfire? Like Medusa. Show her her reflection and she turned to stone." I suggested.

His eyes went wide. "That's it!" He exclaimed. "And I think I know how. What do you use to make sound bounce back?"

I racked my brains quickly. "Um, some kind of force or shield." I replied, hesitantly.

"A force field!" He said, smacking his forehead. "But what can project loud noise to make it work?"

"An amplifier?" I said in a duh tone, cocking my eyebrow. But he was so excited, he didn't notice my tone.

"Of course." He said, smiling. "Oh, Selina. You're fantastic!" He came up to me and kissed me on the forehead. I flinched slightly but couldn't help smiling at his energy.

"So how do we create one of those?" I asked. thinking hard.

"Oh it's easy. Wanna help me?" He said. I thought about that. This city needed saving and only me and the Doctor could do that.

"Ok, why not." I answered, grinning.

"Brilliant! Let's create a force field then!"
