"Viktor... why are we he-"
"Shush!" Viktor snaps suddenly. Yuuri glances over at the Russian with a frown before sighing and looking back out at the ocean.
It was after dinner when Viktor had dragged Yuuri here, insisting that the two spend time together. Being... well himself... Yuuri has agreed, only to be brought here.
Wells had passed since Viktor and Yuuri had made the deal, and Yuuri has been steadily gaining weight. In fact, he had just met his weight goal today... so he was proud of himself...
They were on a bridge on the edge of town, coats on and shivers racking their bodies as they stand there for whatever reason. It was so cold Yuuri could feel ice beneath his feet, beckoning him and snapping at his toes. His hands were stuffed in his pockets, the gloves and the cloth around them not helping against the fight against the cold.
The two were completely silent, one because he was told to be and the other because... he didn't want to miss it. They stood next to each other without actually seeming to acknowledge the others existence... something Yuuri didn't really mind much.
For a few minutes silence hung over the two, until the sun sat right above the water. The water's waves sent the light bouncing and sparkling. If anyone took the time to stop and look at the sight they would find something endlessly beautiful.
"It's amazing..." Viktor mutters softly. Yuuri glances over at the male in confusion. Whereas the Russian saw light dancing over a shimmering body of water, Yuuri saw a sun set. "This... Can't you see it!"
Yuuri furrows his brows, looking back st the ocean in confusion. He simply couldn't see the beauty in it. He had lived here for all of his life, the times he had seen a sunset like this one were far too much for him to count.
"... I don't und-"
"I've seen a lot of beautiful things in this world." Viktor's voice easily cuts Yuuri off, the shorter male sighing as he could feel the speech... lets say this wasn't his first Viktor speech... "From all the places I've ever been... Yeah, I've seen a lot of beautiful things. From frozen fountains to fires so large they could eat up entire cities. From comets falling from the sky to water shooting from the ground, I've seen a lot."
The words that leave Viktor's mouth make Yuuri scoff slightly, rolling his eyes. To the smaller male Viktor was boosting... he did that a lot. It was weird, he had thought his idol would be more-
"Yeah, I've seen a lot of things. But this... this is perfect." Viktor mutters softly. Yuuri blinks and looks up at Viktor, expecting to see the side of his face.
His eyes meet icy blue ones.
"I couldn't even put it up against anything I have every seen. It shines brighter than any star." Yuuri was frozen, his breathing paused and his muscles tense. Was this actually...
"Yep!" Viktor's head snaps the the sunset, a bright smile appearing on his face. "This sunset truly is picture perfect!"
The silver-haired male pulls out a camera and snaps pictures of the sunset, leaving Yuuri dumbfounded.
He had thought...
He had actually thought...
A deep blush spreads across the smaller male's face, quickly turning his head to the side and biting his bottom lip.
Idiot!
Viktor didn't know about what they were... and he never would know...
Viktor smirks as he snaps a few pictures of the sun, seeing Yuuri quickly turn away and turn red. Just what he liked to see.
"Oh who am I kidding... there's something much better here..." With a slight chuckle Viktor turns the camera on Yuuri, snapping s few pictures of the back of the younger's hair.
Yuuri jumps at Viktor's words, turning another shade of red and covering his head with his hands. Viktor laughs loudly.
"Oh come on Yuuri! Can't you take a compliment!" Viktor snickers as he watches the smaller male. Suddenly, Viktor's snicker is cut off, his smile fading. His camera falls as Viktor slips it in his pocket, his eyes locked into the back of Yuuri's head, staring at it with a serious expression.
Yuuri was far too embarrassed to notice the lack of camera snaps... his face was fifty shades of red, he was so embarrassed... he didn't even know if Viktor had complimented him at this point or not...
"Yuuri..." Viktor's voice cuts through Yuuri's haze, the suddenly morbid tone seemingly not fitting what had been going on. The younger male blinks in confusion and turns his head to Viktor shyly, thinking something was wrong.
"Yes V-Viktor?" The silver haired man was standing a few feet from Yuuri, his mouth opening and then closing, his head falling and then popping back up. He seemed to be thinking of something...
Yuuri smiles softly at the sight, the small blush that had remained slipping away. Viktor seemed just as unsure as Yuuri felt, and it helped him a lot to know this.
"I... I know a-" Viktor began, only for an annoyed shout to interrupt him.
"Oi! Viktor! What the hell are you doing!"
