SECOND PERSON POV

You enter into the office and pull out the family-sized bag of potato chips from underneath your jacket. What can you say; you love food. You set it on the desk and sit down into the chair, ready for another night of people trying to kill you. Hopefully Bonnie won't, though, because of what happened last night. Speaking of which, if you see him again, you have a lot of questions to ask. You need answers.

The clock chimes midnight. You take a deep breath and let it go, preparing yourself for the night ahead. You open the camera and look at the different screens, seeing all the animatronics sitting still where they should be, but suddenly the screen gets fuzzy and you hear static. The tablet didn't do this last night, so what's up with it now? You shut it off and set it down, hoping that will fix it.

You open your bag of potato chips and eat one, then trail off into thought. You hope to see Bonnie again tonight. You want to build your friendship with him so you can have at least one of the animatronics on your side to protect you from the others, and you need friends. Another reason you want him to come is because you have so many questions for him. You are thirsty for answers.

You pick up the tablet again to see if it's working, and to your surprise and relief, it is. But all that relief is washed away when you see that all the animatronics are gone, or at least the three musicians are. Foxy stays behind his curtain, but now his head is peaked out from behind the purple cloth, his menacing eyes staring straight into the camera. It looks as if the fox is bloodthirsty and ready to kill, with you being it's victim. A chill runs down your spine, so you quickly move to a different camera to get the image out of your head.

You switch to the camera that shows the hallway right outside the left door and see human Bonnie speed-walking down the hallway. A nervous feeling floods down your body. Why is he coming towards you so quickly? Did he change his mind on keeping you alive? What is he here for?

"Hey," a deep Australian voice awakens you from your thoughts. You look to the left and see Bonnie standing in the doorway with his arm resting on the doorframe right above his head and a bored expression on his face. You're thoughts of him trying to kill you rise up again and you feel fear flow through your veins.

"H-hi." You squeak. He looks you down, making you suddenly become self conscious. Sighing, he steps into the office and walks to the wall behind you, leaning back onto it and sliding down into a sitting position. You turn the chair around so you can face him without straining your neck by looking over your shoulder. Why is he sitting down? Is he planning on staying in your office for a while or something? And what does he need with you that he even came in the first place?

"Why are you so nervous?" He asks nonchalantly, almost annoyed. Why is he annoyed? Did you do something to make him upset with you?

"Um—" You start, but then find that you don't have an answer to give him. You don't want to tell him that you think he'll kill you, because you don't want to give him ideas, and you don't want to sound pathetic by saying you're scared the other animatronics will kill you tonight.

He huffs. "You know I won't kill you, so it's the other animatronics, right?" He asks. How did he know? And what does he mean 'he won't kill you'? Last night he said he would kill you later, and who knows how much later 'later' is, but now he's saying he won't? What changed?

"You-you won't kill me?" You stutter.

He refuses to make eye contact with you. "No, if I kept you alive then that means I want you alive, and if I want you alive then I won't let you die." He says. Hope arises in your heart. He won't kill you. In fact, he said he will protect you. This is exactly what you wanted! Well, this and being friends with him, which you haven't quite achieved yet. But that doesn't matter right now because you will live to see yourself become an animator! You'll be able to live to see yourself get married! You'll live to see yourself accomplish all your goals! You relax a little bit, knowing that you won't die.

"Jeez, you scared me yesterday when you said that you would kill me later." You sigh. "So I'm glad to hear that. You don't know how much better that makes me feel." You say with a smile.

You swear you see his cheeks get a little pink, but it's probably just your imagination. "Yeah, I said that yesterday because I was mad, but after I calmed down and had time to think, I changed my mind." He says, relaxed.

If he changed his mind about one thing, maybe he changed his mind about something else too? "So did you also change your mind about being friends?" You ask eagerly and hopefully.

He hesitates, his facial expression remaining indifferent, then speaks. "I forgot about that."

Your heart shatters, but you ignore it. Hopefully he'll change his mind now. He closes his eyes, thinking, you assume. After a few minutes, he shakes his head in annoyance. "What is it with you and your stupid obsession with friendship? Not everything is smiles-and-rainbows." He mutters bitterly. Your heart shatters once more.

"Trust me, I know." You say, your smile fading while remembering the days when you actually minded being alone. You hated it. You think back to the bully-days, when everyone made fun of you, and to when you were depressed. Yeah, you knew that the world wasn't all smiles-and-rainbows. You definitely knew.

He glances up at you, then blinks and turns his head away. "Fine, whatever. I'll be your 'friend'."

You fight the urge to leap for joy. "Yay! Thank you!" You exclaim, clasping your hands together.

He glares at you. "Quiet down or the other animatronics will hear you!" He whisper-yells. You suppose he's right. You cover your mouth with your hand to keep any more sound from escaping, then give him an apologetic look.

"Why do you even want to be friends with someone like me? Do you not have any other friends or something?" He says softly, looking at the right door. His sudden change in tone startles you. The tone doesn't seem to fit him. Is something wrong?

"No, I don't have any other friends. And I want to be friends with you because..." You don't want to say 'because I want your protection'. That would make him feel like a tool. And it's not the only reason. The real reason is... "I'm drawn to you. I don't really know why, but I am." You say, and it's true. The confused expression on his face tells you to say more. "Uh, I don't know, I-I think you're pretty cool. And, um... yeah." You stutter, not really knowing what else to say. You now notice that his eyes have widened a little bit.

His eyes lower to the floor and a small, gentle smile appears on his face, along with a pink tint to his cheeks. "Thank you..." He mumbles. So cute... you think to yourself as you feel heat rush to your cheeks. You never would have imagined Bonnie looking the way he is right now. He seemed so mean and cold, but now he seems warm and sweet. You almost want to go up and hug him, but you know better than to do that. But what melts your heart the most is that this is the first time you have ever seen him smile. It makes you smile too.

A high-pitched metallic screeching sound interrupts your conversation and draws your attention to the left door.

Oh no.
