Who we are as people,
Regardless of our covers,
Our thoughts and actions,
Determine if we're foes or brothers,Who we are as people,
Comes from within,
Not our hair, social status,
Or the colour of our skin,Who we are as people,
Is what our children will learn
That destruction of ourselves
Is the bigger concernWho we are as people,
As beings and souls
Determine our consequences
Will you fall through a bottomless hole?Who we are as humans,
As the rubric we should follow,
without our minds and hearts,
We are nothing but hollowA/N: The painting title is "cities full of empty people" by Lesley Oldaker
