Really just Revenge? (Wonhui)

I'll call you

"You got laid", Seongcheol states as soon as Wonwoo enters the apartment.

"How do you know?"

"First of all, you were away the whole night and second: did you look at your neck?", Seongcheol says.

"I know, I know. He probably has some kind of kink about this. I have them everywhere", Wonwoo gives in.

"But he's hot and I got his number."

"And you're gonna call him?", Seongcheol asks a little too hopefully.

"Do you want to get rid of me?", Wonwoo asks with fake sadness in his voice.

"No!", Seongcheol assures him.

"I just want you to be happy again after all that Mingyu shit that happened. You're glowing, Wonwoo. I think even though you only spent a night with him he made you happier than Mingyu did in all those years."

Seongcheol was right. He was a lot happier than he was for a long while and mostly because of Junhui. It was weird but he gave Wonwoo a feeling of being worshipped, appreciated,  wanted and so much more. 

"So...are you gonna call him?", Seongcheol asks again and grins. Wonwoo knew exactly what that grin meant and he rolls his eyes at his best friend.

"Yes, I will call him."

Calling someone after a one-night-stand is harder than it seems to be especially if you don't want it to end as a one-time thing.  Wonwoo knew for sure that he wanted more from Junhui. It wasn't some love at first sight or anything like that but there were attraction and interest. The scary part was to find out if Junhui thought and felt the same.

Wonwoo said he'd call Junhui. Thus he obviously was the one to take the first step and actually call Junhui. That makes him scared too because what if Junhui doesn't want him to call? Or what if he calls at the wrong moment and Junhui didn't want to talk to anyone and what if he was working or what if he doesn't answer the phone at all? All those fears running through Wonwoo's mind make him crazy.

Seongcheol was completly annoyed by him because sometimes he was running around the flat with the phone in his hand and overthinking if he should call Junhui or not.

Today was one of those moments again and Seongcheol has had enough of Wonwoo. So he takes Wonwoo's phone out of the black haired boy's hands and presses the call button.

"Are you completely crazy!?", Wonwoo screeches and takes the phone back.

"Yes, maybe I am but you are too and you're annoying as hell because of this. So you'll hold this phone against your ear now and you'll wait 'til he picks up the phone and you'll freaking finally talk to him!"

Wonwoo only nods and holds the phone against his ear. It's still ringing when Seongcheol leaves the room to give Wonwoo a little privacy to talk to Junhui.

That day he didn't pick up the phone.

The second and third time he doesn't pick up either and Wonwoo feels stupid for assuming that Junhui really wanted more from him. Of course he only gave Wonwoo his number because it was a nice thing to do after a one night stand. So it didn't seem too much like Junhui was only after the sex even though he was.

Wonwoo tries it a fourth and fifth time and Junhui still doesn't pick up. Seongcheol is still encouraging him but Wonwoo sure it's a fake number or at least an old number of Junhui that he wasn't using anymore. It was embrassing that Wonwoo cared so much but he really hoped that the thing with Junhui could be more. He hasn't even hoped for a serious relationship. He would've been okay with a little fun too and if it'd turned into something more serious he would totally be okay with falling in love again.

But here he was calling Junhui for the sixth time. It's still ringing after five minutes and Wonwoo gives up again. It was hopeless. Junhui wouldn't answer the phone. That was sure now. Wonwoo blinks away the tears and throws his phone onto his bed.

He calls him a seventh time and an eighth time at night because maybe Junhui finished work around this time and picks up but he doesn't.

Neither does he pick up the ninth and tenth time  Wonwoo calls him he's officially given up.

The next morning he stands up with the thought of calling Junhui again but he shoves that thought away because an ass like Junhui who doesn't pick up the phone ten times doesn't deserve to be called an eleventh time.

Later that day, when talks to Seongcheol after he came back from work, he can't help but look at his phone every few minutes to check if maybe Junhui had texted him or called back.

"Call him one more time. For me okay, I hate it when you look this sad and I saw you really sad after the Mingyu-thing and I know it's frustrating you that he isn't answering the phone but I don't even know...I have a feeling that you should not give up."

Wonwoo smiles slightly at Seongcheol's encouraging words. Seongcheol had been the bestest best friend to Wonwoo and he doesn't even know how he could pay back everyhing Seongcheol had done for him.

"Call him one more time."

And Wonwoo does. He goes into his room and dials Junhui's number. It rings once, twice...

And then Junhui picks up.

I feel kinda mean for ending the chapter here...
