Really just Revenge? (Wonhui)

The ice cream part

"Seongcheol! Do we have ice cream somewhere?", Wonwoo shouts through the flat.

"Nevermind! Found it."

He walks into the living room a moment later. Two spoons and the package of ice cream in his hands. Seongcheol seated on the sofa searching the TV programme for something to watch. He got used to Wonwoo being around and watching TV together in the evening when both of them had gotten home from work and have eaten something for dinner (which they do together mostly too) has kinda become their thing. They knew each other since their childhood and it shows. Privacy is not really a thing now that they are living together.  But it's a good thing for Wonwoo to get some distance between himself and everything Mingyu related.

"We could either watch the horror or the drama and because of you-know-what I think we should probably watch-"

"The drama", Wonwoo interrupts him, confusing Seongcheol.

"Someone with a broken heart shouldn't really watch a drama", Seongcheol says while raising his eyebrows.

"You know, when Jeonghan brought me here we made a stop so I could throw the plates Mingyu and I bought together and I told him I want every part of a typical break-up and now you have to suffer through me watching a cheesy drama, eating ice cream and crying. I call it the ice cream part which comes after broken plates."

Seongcheol knows better than to ask and thus he spends the next three hours watching cheesy dramas and eating ice cream. And of course, being the shoulder to lean on for Wonwoo who has been crying for about an hour now. Big ugly sobs escaping his throat and tears never stopping to flow. Seongcheol isn't an expert when it comes to break-ups so all he can do is hold the crying boy close to his chest and letting him cry.

Sometimes Wonwoo would mumble something about Mingyu and their relationship and he's not sure if he should say something about it or not so again he just keeps quiet and holds Wonwoo.

It takes Wonwoo a while to calm down and he stays in Seongcheol's arms for a while longer. Seongcheol is good at comforting. He's always been good at it. Ever since they were kids. Wonwoo remembers how Seongcheol was always the one to calm down Chan, his younger brother when he had fallen or hurt himself some other way. Wonwoo was younger than him too and he somehow felt like a younger brother of Seongcheol too. It has always been them three. Seongcheol, Chan and Wonwoo. Best friends, brothers. They always stuck together. Later Mingyu became part of their group and then he and Wonwoo started dating at one point. Mingyu became distant with Seongcheol and Chan then as if he was only after Wonwoo which does make sense now.

"You okay?", Seongcheol whispers.

"I don't know." Wonwoo voice is hoarse when he answers wiping the tears from his face.

"I'm tired."

They spent the weekend on the sofa. They order food and only leave the sofa when they have to go to the toilet, to open the door for the delivery guy or to get something to drink from the kitchen. They have watched four seasons of the drama now and haven't mentioned Mingyu one more time. Seongcheol swears that he'll never eat ice cream ever again and Wonwoo agrees.

"I think you got your ice cream part now. What's next?", Seongcheol questions when they clean up the living room.

"Moving on, I guess", Wonwoo mumbles from his spot on the floor. He's picking up all the trash they scattered there which us mostly food packaging.

"And how does that work?"

"I have no clue", Wonwoo admits with a little laugh.

"Trying to live on normally without Mingyu. Trying to not think about him constantly. Trying to fall in love again. And someday not trying anymore but actually doing all those things. Maybe that's how it works."

Seongcheol only nods. He hasn't been through a break up for a while now. He's a hopeless single as Wonwoo likes to call him and he's very okay with that right now. He loves his work in elementary school. He loved kids all his life and now that he can work with them he's just really happy.

"I hope you'll be able to move on, Wonwoo. You deserve to be happy again after all the shit Mingyu has done to you."

"I hope so too."

Here's chapter 3 already! I'm so excited with this story and because I already know how it ends I'm just so so excited what you guys will think about it😅
