Summer officialy starts today so I decided to go to Theresa Mae's. I pulled off a black v-neck shirt and a skinny jeans in my closet and put them on me. I quickly brushed my hair and wore a red toms and looked in my mirror. Still the old lame looking me, I guess.  I looked for les miserables on my bookshelf and shoved it in my bag before leaving my bedroom. "Where are you going, V?" Mom asked as I try to reach out for the door knob. "Theresa Mae's." I answered. She returns to the kitchen, cooking something nice for dinner or something? "Okay then, take care." "Yeah mom don't worry!" I yelled and stepped out of the house. Theresa Mae's is just a couple of blocks away, but im too lazy to walk so I used my bike to get me there instead.

I ordered the same black coffee I had everyday and searched for my spot. Everybody knew that because I'm here everyday. I spend my day here. It's summer and im hanging out with Fantine here in a coffee shop. They don't mind, so why would i stop coming here? I placed my coffee in the table and finally land my ass to the comfy chair, starting to find my book and my highlighter in my bag and start reading. I should've gotten Great Gatsby instead, I uttered. I took another sip in my coffee and stare at the man in front of me- wait what? Why is there a man in front of me? Is he there all the time today? Is he lost or something? I'm freaking out, I almost spit my coffee onto his face.

"Victor Hugo, huh?" He said, observing me and pooped out a smirk in his face. He let out a chuckle and I threw my highlighter on his face as if I was facing a dog or something. "Why would you do such thing," He searched for the highlighter and slides it to my side of the table, "Veronica?" What? I looked into his eyes, wondering how did he know my name. "It's in the highlighter." What? Did i say that out loud so he answered me or is my mind screaming or I'm just too obvious to be easily read by some crazy ass stranger being comfy with me on the same table? "What are you doing here? Who are you? I don't have money!" I told him and tried to woo him away. "I'm not gonna abduct you and Victor Hugo. And besides, Veronica, I sat here first." He stated. Damn, this stranger sent shivers when he said my name. It's uncomfortable and chilly. Even though he sat here first I'm still not going anywhere and I'm gonna convince this man to go away or something. "Well, I sat here ages ago so that means I sat here before you. so I'm her first. now scoot, go away, leave me alone." I said and took another sip from my almost-cold-coffee. He's still there. Ugh, nevermind. I'm just gonna read here with this total stranger that looks fine..? I mean, he doesn't look like a god damn rapist or something, he looks like he came from a thrift shop and just got striped shirt that costs five bucks. He also have this pen and notebook on his side, writing or drawing something.

With his shirt, he looks like a simple man but you can see his tattoos behind the cloth. He chuckled again, making his shady grayish blue eyes squinty and happy. "Are you checking on me?" He asked. What? Wait, I am checking on him! I'm too obvious god, I'm such a retard. I raised my eyebrow and looked at him, "Im just looking if you have laserbeams or lightsabers hiding beneath you, punk." I said and took another sip of coffee. Damn, this coffee gets colder and colder I should finish this before I move on to the book. He just stared at me the whole time I was gulping my mug of coffee, as he constantly tug his soft, kind of long brown hair and stared at me again. "Why are you staring at me?" I asked, and he answered "Just doing what you just did." This guy looks fine but he's a big asshole. I can feel it. I stood up and went to the counter to order a slice of blueberry cheesecake and a latte, and when I came back to my spot he's gone. At least I'm all alone! but I didnt catch his name, though. well, off to see how Fantine did bad! I opened my book and there was this piece of paper in it. I opened it and it's pure shit.
