"Ronnie..." Archie whispered before pushing her against the door and merging their lips together.

"Archiekins." Veronica replied as their lips parted for air.

"God, I need you so bad right now." He mumbled into her hair.

"As lovely as hooking up sounds, we're at school, Archie. We can't get caught." Ignoring her excuses he promptly walked closer and lightly bit her bottom lip, "Archie.."

"Hmm?" Archie replied.

"I'm serious, Archie. What if someone saw us together? You're supposedly with Betty." Veronica spoke, pulling Archie away from her and smiling to herself when he whiningly wrapped his arms around her again.

"Fine, meet at my house after school?" He proposed as he buried his face in her shoulder.

"Archie?" Before the Latina could reply, the door swung open and before them stood Betty Cooper, his supposed and said girlfriend.

"Betty! I, uh.." He glanced down at Veronica before unwrapping his arms from around her.

"What are you doing? Why did you need me to pretend to be your girlfriend if you already had one? And why her of all people? You literally said you'd rather—" Archie covered her mouth as Veronica crossed her arms and waited expectantly.

"That you'd rather what, Archie?"

"Nothing!"

"Wow, Archie." Veronica looked like she was about to cry as she grabbed her bag and left.

"Ronnie, wait!" Archie ran after her, yelling out her name in attempts to get her to stop.

"Just leave me alone, Archie." She continued to walk down the long halls of Riverdale High.

"Ronnie!" Archie weaved in front of the Latina and grabbed her arm, causing her to stop and look up at him.

"What, Archie? What could you possibly have to say?" Veronica muttered out coldly, a tear falling down her left cheek.

He quickly wrapped his arm tightly around her as more tears began to fall.

"I swear to God, Ronnie. I didn't know who you really were then. I know you as so much more than just the girl I thought only wanted to cause drama. You're a really amazing person, and I shouldn't have doubted you in the beginning, but I did.. and I'm sorry for that. No one deserves to be treated or judged like that." His grip on her tightened slightly as she struggled to breathe properly.

"Why did I think this could work out? It never will, Archie." Veronica spoke, pulling away from his firm grasp on her, "We're always going to have to be a secret. We're never going to be accepted together, nonetheless be accepted separately. Maybe your first impressions on me should've stayed that way."

"What?" Archie knew it was a stupid question, but it was all he could muster in the heat of the moment.

"You heard me. Maybe we weren't even meant to ever meet. Maybe it should've stayed that way. You hating me, and me staying far away from you." Veronica wiped away the remainder of the tears that had been streaming down her face.

"You don't mean that, Ronnie." Archie spoke, attempting to reach out towards her, only for her to back away.

"I think it's what's best for both of us, Archie. I already have a shitty image from my dad and mom's reputations as the Lodges. I don't need people thinking I stole "sweet" Betty's boyfriend." Sensing that Archie had been speechless from what she had just dropped on him, she continued with a small mustered smile, "I'll see you around, Archiekins."
