Selena's POV

We had found it. The warehouse was just left in the middle of nowhere, old and delicate, with several plants attached to it. The windows were smashed and the door was wedged open like someone had already been here but hopefully there was no one inside. I hoped it to be just as abandoned as Demi made it out to be. The quicker we explored the place, the quicker Demi would be satisfied so we could leave.

Still holding Demi's hand, the three of us slowly walked forwards, peering inside the broken window.

Justin looked at me, as if asking me to go in first. He was an even bigger baby than I was being right now.

"Why are you looking at me?" I shouted at him. He looked taken back and picked up a big tree branch that was lying outside next to the entrance of the warehouse.

"There's no way I'm going in first!" He retaliated then handed me the branch which I simply refused.

"Well don't look at me. I'm not going in first. I'm shitting myself right now." Justin seemed to think that was funny so I hit him hard hoping I left a mark.

"Guys quit fighting already." Demi yelled then yanked the branch out of Justin's hand. "I'll go first." She rolled her eyes then walked through the door with confidence and we slowly followed behind. I found myself wanting to hold Justin's hand for moral support but I didn't know if I should right now. Things were already weird between us and the last thing we needed was making things even more weird.

Whilst inside the warehouse, It was darker than it was outside and we could barely see anything. Demi shined the torch across the room from left to right. In the other hand she carried the branch, holding it firm in front of her face in case...let's not get into that.

Positive thoughts. If I thought about any possible bad thing that could happen, I would shit myself. I didn't need that right now.

I squinted my eyes and observed empty boxes all across the room just dumped all over the place. It was safe to say that this place was definitely abandoned. In the far end of the warehouse, there was a dashboard full of newspapers and over sheets of paper pinned up.

Slowly, I walked closer to it, cutting away from the group. My eyes fixed on to the dashboard as I got nearer.

Dates. Missing people. Alien sightings. What was all this? I'd never heard of any of this information on the news. Surely, the news reporters would have forecasting this. They'd be mad not to. There job is to alert people of the current affairs in the world but I've never seen any info about these sightings. I wonder why? And my mum forces me to watch the news every morning before school so I am are of everything happening in the here and now.

My eyes scanned the different newspaper articles until I got to one which really caught my eye. It read 'It seems that we are no longer alone in this universe. We must prepare for the worst and trust no one. They are coming for us and they will not be stopped.' Okay what the fuck? What was all this?

I struggled to piece everything together. I was definitely losing some brain cells right about now. Aliens invading earth? I don't know.

My heart began to pound as I read the rest of the article. These were beginning to freak me out a little. Aliens, really? I mean I believe that we are not alone in this universe but I've always thought that the chances of aliens actually invading planet earth is very unlikely.

"Hey Selena you found anything?" Justin said from behind me. He followed my gaze and stared. He put his arm around me which made me shudder but I didn't say anything. We just stood there dumbfounded by this disturbing information.

"Could it be true?" I whispered.

"I have no idea but the real question is if it is true then why has no one told us? It's just been kept from the eye of the public when we could all be at risk." He turned to face me and cupped my face forcing me to look into his big brown eyes.

"It's ok to be scared Sel. I am too." He put a stand of my hair behind my face then leaned in. Instead of kissing my lips, he kissed my cheek which teased me. It was the right choice even if I wanted the other option. We were both scared right now. We had no idea what we were seeing or what was true or false.

"Aliens?" Demi said as she paced towards us. We nodded our heads and sighed.

"What do we do? Run? Hide? Jump of a cliff?"

"We do what we have to. Go through the boxes and try to find out more about what the actual fuck is going on in this world." Justin suggests.

"Hey calm down. It's ok." I cooed. He glanced down at me and for a few seconds we stared at each other before hugging tightly.

Everything was changing all of a sudden. There was a sudden possibility that aliens existed but the government just never told us. Possibly to prevent a big panic but we deserve to know. It's just like the rest of this place. A big mystery to solve. Where do we even start?
