SAMUEL'S OBSESSION

CHAPTER 5

SAMUEL POV

As soon as I landed, I drove straight to the hospital where Spider was admitted. The elevators door opened on the 12th floor and I quickly went to the nurses station. "Excuse me Miss? I'm here to see...." He was cut off. "Samuel! Over here!" Johnny called over to him. The nurse looked towards Johnny then back at Samuel and simply nodded. Samuel hurriedly walked to Johnny who looked like he haven't slept in days. "How is he?" Samuel's voice demanding. "He's in ICU. The doctor removed two bullets from his chest." Johnny rubbed the back of his neck. "Who found him? And more importantly, who shot him?" Johnny looked at his brother and cleared his throat. "I found him. I went over to his house and found his door wide open and him lying on the floor bleeding with two bullet holes. I don't know who shot him. The place was ransacked. As if looking for something. We checked Spider's surveillance cameras and the shooter had a mask on." "Are the men working on finding this asshole?" Samuel spoke lowly. "Yes Samuel. I have men working on it. I also have the surveillance video for you to watch in case you recognize the shooter." Samuel nodded. "I'm going to go see him. Wait for me here and make sure that two guys stay here to watch over Spider. I don't want him alone." Johnny nodded and quickly picked up his phone to make the call. Samuel walked into the ICU unit and saw Spider bandaged and hooked up to several machines. He pinched the bridge of his nose as he took a deep sigh. Samuel quickly left the ICU and headed back to Johnny. "As soon as as the men get here, I want you to go home and get some sleep." Johnny nodded. "I have the surveillance video back home for you to watch. I didn't want to leave it at Spiders." "Good call. I'll see you later." Without another word, Samuel was off to Spider's house. As Samuel entered one elevator, the other open with a concerned Erica who immediately rushed to the ICU where Spider was held. She pulled a chair by his bed and held his hand kissing his each finger as tears fell in huge droplets down her cheeks. Samuel arrived at Spider's house and entered with his spare key. He looked down at the floor where he can see dried up blood stains. He scanned the room noticing furniture has been turned over, drawers left open and whatever was in them was dropped on the floor. Samuel headed upstairs to Spider's room and the room was also a huge mess. The mattress was cut into. His closet door wide open and the items inside have been tossed onto the floor. The same scenario with the bureau. Samuel went back to the closet and hit the secret hatch. There he found the file holding important documents that Spider found for him. Samuel quickly rolled up the document and left the room, driving back to his house.

LILY POV

"I can't wait to see Samuel today." She said excitedly. "I miss him so much." She said as she dressed into fresh clothes. Shay smiled as she relaxed on Lily's bed. "So, do you think that you finally get some dick? I mean, I'm surprised he hasn't had sex with you as of yet." Lily rolled her eyes laughing. "It's not our fault. Every time we want to, we get interrupted. Then he had to leave for a business trip." She walked to the mirror to apply a little make up and fix her hair. "Have you heard from Johnny?" Shay took a deep breath and played with her nails. "I don't think there will be a me and Johnny. I can't fault him. I did throw myself at him. I even let him take my virginity and I don't regret it. It was an exciting night and he made me feel good. Now it's time for me to get over him and move on." Shay smiled. "You're an awesome girl Shay and I know for a fact that you will be taken very soon." Shay's left eyebrow lifted in question. "I see how many guys be checking you out. So whoever ask you out, give him a chance ok?" Shay's smiled big as she gave her a thumbs up. "I will and make sure that you take your birth control girl." She wiggled her eyebrows at Lily. "I don't think the University will provide you with a crib for your dorm." She giggled. Lily rolled her eyes, but giggled too. She then went into her bag and took a pill in front of Shay, then washing it down with a bottled water. "Happy?" Shay nodded as she swung her legs to the side of the bed. "I better get going. I have to meet up with my study group in 10 minutes." She grabbed her bag off the floor swinging it over her right shoulder. "I want to hear about all the dirty and sexy details later ok?" Lily shook her head as she watched her friend leave.
