Mr. Spall is very strict. All of the students under his advisory becomes straight within less than two weeks with him.

One day, he was assigned to be the class adviser of the second section of the ninth grade. He gradually accepted. On his third day at the job, he noticed that there was a girl who was secretly using her phone while they were taking a test.

Everybody knows that this is cheating, or isn't it?

Since Mr. Spall was having a good day, he ignored her. Even though she knows that she's been seen, the girl still tries to hide her phone. She pressed it between her legs and continued using it. Mr. Spall had enough of her. He slammed his pen at the desk and walked to the girl.

"Get out of my class!" He yelled.

The girl hung her head and walked.

"Tony, get her phone." He ordered.

The said student stopped the girl. He took her phone and walked to Mr. Spall.

"Read the last message." The teacher ordered his student.

Tony reluctantly agreed.

"Chana, your brother is dying here in the hospital. Can you come here? From: Momma," he read.

Chana silently sobbed while standing near the door. Mr. Spall felt guilty than ever. He then instructed Tony to return Chana's phone and hand her her bag. When Tony sat back on his seat, Mr. Spall approached Chana.

"Send my regards to your family." He said with a smile and sent the student away to her family.

I know this is short. It reminds me of something.

Also, credits to that educational video that our teacher, Miss Sanchez, showed the class.

This short story is inspired by the video.
