Chapter 5: Kurt
School is fast approaching. Can't say I'm looking forward to it. I'm terrified. But I am confident things will be okay. The negative thoughts still linger, but I refuse to let them take control.
"What's on your mind?" Blaine asks as we fold clothes.
"Just thinking about what's to come I suppose. Did you want to meet up with Andrew again before school or what?"
I was trying to plan my next few weeks. Yes, school will just be starting, but I don't wanna fall behind. I can't afford to. I'm trying to schedule study times and days. I'm sure it'll never work completely, things happen. But I find it comforting to always have a plan, organize thoughts.
"Oh, I don't know. Maybe the first weekend after school actually begins? " He offered. It really didn't matter to me. We could go Saturday night. I could use Saturday as a study day, go to dinner with him, and use Sunday as a relax day before school.
"Yeah, that'd work. You can call and let him know sometime this week. "
Blaine nodded in reply. Probably thinking about where we'd go. We finished the laundry and were relaxing on the couch. Blaine was coloring and I was reading. Yes, my husband, a college student, was coloring in a Cute Baby Animals coloring book from the dollar store. He'd really gotten into it when we first moved here due to us being too low on money to afford going out all the time. We both had jobs, but they weren't the best. I was currently reading my favorite book for the 6th time. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. (A/N: I do NOT own The Fault In Our Stars. The book, any mentions of the book, the characters, and any references in general belong to John Green. And if you have yet to read it, you totally should! And don't worry, I won't spoil anything!)
I was just getting to where Augustus was chastising Hazel Grace for the use of her Wish when my phone lit up. It was a text from my dad.
DAD: Hey, Kiddo! Hope you're having a great day. Love you, Buddy. I hope to see you soon. You, too, Blaine! We miss you guys like crazy!
I smiled and showed the text to Blaine. My dad became his, both according to the customs of marriage and in Blaine's own heart. He, of course, smiled at the text and happily went back to coloring,
"Make sure you tell him that we will definitely see him soon. The first break we get!"
I nodded and he went back to, from what I could tell, was a purple baby duckling.
ME: Hey, Dad. Thanks, we are. Hope yours is going well, too! Blaine has asked me to inform you that you'll be seeing us the first break we get! We love and miss you guys, too. Say hello to Em for us, and please tell her we'll call her later.
I sent the message and went back to the world of Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters. Or, for the 5 minutes I could before the doorbell rang.
Blaine looked at me in confusion, we weren't expecting anyone. None of our old Glee Friends even had our address yet. We wanted to get settled in completely before having to worry about stuff like this.
"You didn't tell your friend it was tonight, did you?" I asked as I got off the couch.
"No, I haven't even called him yet," he said as he cautiously got off the couch.
