Based on 6.22. What if soulless Sam won instead of normal Sam?

Sams grip on the wheel is tight as  Robin relaxes in the passenger seat. Play With Fire is quietly playing on the radio.

Sam sniffs at the air before turning to Robin. "Do you smell whisky?"

Frustrated, she turns to him. "Okay, Sam, would you focus?"

"Yeah. Sorry." He apologizes and turns back to the road.

"Okay, so, who shot at us?"

"I - I didn't really get a good look." He admits, a shake of fear in his voice.

"Okay, we gotta go to the cops." She shifts in her seat to look at Sam better.

"No, look, if we can just get to my friends, they can help us. I know it." He gestures to her while still watching the road.

"Okay, you don't know if they're your friends, okay, you don't know anything about anything! Just turn around." Her voice rises in a mix of anger and fear.

"No. Look, you're safer with me."

How do you know that? You're scaring me.

Unknown to Sam, in the panic room, Dean opens Sam's left eye and shines a flashlight on it. In the dreamscape, Sam is momentarily blinded by a bright light. He slams on the brakes, the car sliding sideways, and the tires screeching obscenely. He opens his eyes to see the road around him is now bathing in noon sunlight.

"What? No way." She gasps as he jumps out of the car, Robin doing the same.

"What was that?!" She yells at him, still pale from the shock.

"What do you mean? It's daylight." He waves his hand expectantly at the landscape around him.

"Yeah."

"It was night, and now it's day." He attempts to explain by gesturing a timeline on the hood of the car.

"It was always day." She retorts, getting increasingly confused.

"No, no, no, no, no. No, it wasn't. It... What the hell is going on here?" Sam's voice rises in his confusion as he looks around.

Sam turns his head at the sound of leaves and branches crunching in the forest behind him, his instincts jumping to high alert.

"Okay, so I am all filled up on crazy for today. You know what, Sam? I'll - I'll see ya." She waves him off and begins to walk away.

"Wait, wait. Wait. Hey, hey, hey." He calls after, causing her to turn around. "Get in the car." He says urgently, gesturing to the woods with his head. Sam exhales deeply when she complies, a weight off his shoulders. He opens the boot of the car, seeing all the weapons underneath the false cover. "Wow." He sighs. He props the boot up with a shotgun and takes a pistol. He cocks it, puts it back, and instead takes another shotgun. He cocks it and closes the boot. In the car, Sam can see Robin sigh nervously.

Sam carefully makes his way into the woods, shotgun aimed. He passes a tree and does not see that his lookalike, the shooter from the hotel, is standing behind it. This, other Sam, walks up behind him and puts a gun to the back of his head. Sam freezes, then turns around quickly. The lookalike grabs Sam's shotgun and hits him in the head with the butt of it. He empties the shotgun of shells before throwing the gun aside. Sam simply looks up at this double in total shock.
