"So Maverick my dear mate" Allan started "tell me what had just happened?" curious na tanong nito habang nakatingin sa kaibigan.

Maverick took a gulp of his beer before replying to his friend "I don't know mate" tinitigan ang baso at nagpatuloy "I know its not an emergency thing, her chin might be a little red but not swollen and I just don't know" sabi pa nito habang umiinom ulit sa baso.

"You look like an inexperienced guy over there" sabi ni Allan sa tinig na nanunukso. "Its like you don't know what your about to say and you even rush to give your card" na sinamahan pa nito ng tawa na may kasamang iling.

Napangiti na lang si Maverick sa kaibigan. Allan knows him for years. They were old friends back in the U.K. Parehas din silang Half Filipino and Half English. Yon nga lang medyo nakakapagsalita ng Tagalog si Allan dahil madalas umuwi ang family nito sa Philippines.

Si Maverick naman ay minsan lang nakauwi sa Pilipinas, that was the time his moms parents passed away. As what he knows, may mga relatives din ang mother niya somewhere in Masbate and she inherited a house and small land na pinamahala na lang sa isang pinsan. After that, they never came back.

"Hey mate calling back to earth" tawag sa kanya ni Allan "you really seemed lost" dugtong pa nito.

"Do you have work after this? Tanong ni Maverick sa kaibigan.

"Are you asking me out on a date" pagbibirong tanong naman ni Allan sabay tawa ng malakas

"Your silly man!" sabi ni Maverick habang nilalapag ang kanyang baso "well I don't wanna go home yet" sabi nito na napatingin sa relo.

"I don't have any patients and I'm off tomorrow" ani Maverick

"So, you are free to get drunk and wasted tonight is that what you're saying?" tanong ni Allan sa kaibigan.

"Yeah drunk but not wasted" aniya na tinatama ang kaibigan "I will leave that word wasted to you my friend" tinaas pa niya ang baso sa kaibigan bago inubos ang laman nito.

"Ha ha ha we will see about that" sabi naman ni Allan "Any bar in mind?" tanong nito.

"Barasti!" excited na sabi ni Maverick

"Alright! Now you're talking" nakatawang wika ni Allan. "Remember what happened when we were there months ago?" tanong nito.

Kumaway muna si Maverick sa waiter at itinaas ang baso at sumenyas ng dalawa bago sumagot sa kaibigan "I don't remember much but I know you were so drunk and got thrown out" pang iinis niya sa kaibigan.

"Man, I was not thrown out" depensa ni Allan sa sarili "some guy couldn't stand the competition that's all" dagdag pa nito.

"Mate, you were flirting with some chick whilst the boyfriend was at the bar" ani Maverick.

"I could never guessed that that was the boyfriend" tumatawang wika ni Allan "I thought he was the grandfather or the father" biro pa nito.

"How can you say they were related?" tanong ni Maverick "The woman looks like Asian and the guy was an American"

"Mate, they were dancing with an old woman so I thought..the older woman was with that old fart" sabi ni Allan.

Dumating ang inorder ni Maverick at nag cheers ang dalawa "To the old fart and that chick...happy days!" sabay na wika ni Allan at Maverick at nagkatawanan.

Nasa ganoong mood ang dalawang magkaibigan at di nila napansin ang babaeng palapit sa kanilang lamesa.

"Hey guys, I hope I did not bother you" nakangiting sabi nito na sinundan pa ng "mind if I join you?" tanong nito sa dalawa pero ang mga mata ay nakapako kay Maverick.
