Chapter 12

I am having Peter and Percy be 17 in this story.

The Quinjet

Somewhere near the Amazon rainforest.

Clint was flying the quinjet while the Tony, Steve, and Bruce were talking.

"So... before your interns came three days ago we asked you something. And you said it was true..." Steve says.

"Yeah, it was about 19 years ago. I met this beautiful woman. She had to be the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. We started going out and I eventually fell in love. A year later she disappeared. Then not long after that two baskets showed up." Tony says.

"Why didn't you just take responsibility and take care of them?" Bruce asks.

"Because I wouldn't of made a good father... I mean I am in my lab almost all the time... and I didn't want them to get hurt. If you think about it... trouble follows me everywhere... and I just... I just didn't want to see them get hurt... because of me and what I've done." Tony says.

"I feel you Tony... I understand..." Clint says from up front.

"I don't know how you can understand... you have never been in my situation." Tony says.

The quinjet lands not far from the Hydra base.

"Okay so we need to be stealthy and..." Steve starts grabbing his shield. He is cut of by a alarm going off.

Steve turns to Clint. "I thought you said we were cloaked?"

"We were... I don't know what happened..." Clint says.

Tony looks out the window. "I know what happened..."

"What?" The other three says at the same time.

"We are not the only one who came to take over this base..."

In the base

Peter is looking at his brother... He almost broke the last time they came in and torchered him... oh they stayed true to their word... They haven't layed a finger on Peter... but Peter wishes the would.

Percy stirred and then woke up looking over at Peter. "Pete... I have a plan for escape... all you have to do is help me..."

Peter nods his head and goes to the wall of the cell that connects the two together. Percy shifts and drags himself over to the wall. All the while biting his lip to bite back a scream of pain. Peter worriedly looks at the older. "Perce you don't have to... we can make a plan from where you are... you don't need to move..."

"Pete if you want to get out of here... I have to move..." Percy says shifting into the light. Peter almost cries out at what his brother looks like. Percy left eye is black and he has a bruise coming in on his lower jaw. He has that cut on the left side of his face from the knife that is still currently hilt deep in his shoulder. His right arm is slung around his chest protecting his already broken ribs.

The boys attention is diverted when James comes through the door.

James walks to the cell doors and opens them. "I have made it this far but I can't take it anymore. Nako has herself too deep in Hydra. I never wanted to be a part of it... Peter help me with Percy..."

Peter scrambles out of his cell and into Percy's. In there he helped James lift Percy and carry him out. They walk down the hallway and an alarm went off.

"They couldn't have found out we left already..." Peter says.

"Your right... the base is under attack... lets go see who it is shall we?" James asks.

"We shall."
