Chapter 2

>Eloise pov<

Its been 4 days since I've been told my brother was killed. What was i suppose to do? He was the only family I had left. The only one i talked to actually. Now it's just Ashton and I. I sat down on the couch and pulled out a photo album and looked back at the pictures of me and my brother.

>flashback<

"Higher Jack higher!" Eloise said to her brother Jack as he pushed her on the swings when she was seven. "Elly, if I push you any higher you're going to fall off!" Jack laughed at his little sisters excitement. It was a beautiful day out. Their mom was over on the grass at the park talking to their father while he laughed at his kids.

"C'mon Jack please! I want to feel the wind!" Eloise kept begging Jack to push her higher. Finally giving in, Jack pushed Eloise higher and higher. When she was really high, Jack stopped and watched his sister laugh loudly and smile wide.

As she kept going, Eloise got scared and tried to stop. "Jack Jack! Stop me please!" Jack just shook his head. "No Eloise you told me to push you higher and thats what I did." As Eloise got towards the bottom she jumped off and the swing hit her forehead leaving a bruise and a bump. When Eloise and Jack went back to their parents, Jack got in a lot of trouble and Eloise got a bump from then on.

I picked up a tissue and wiped my eyes remembering the day i got a bump on my head. I slowly traced over it and smiled. Looking at another one the night came to me again, remembering the first time i went out.

Eloise was just finished getting ready for the dance her boyfriend was taking her to. Of course her brother would be coming along because he also had a date. 16 year old Eloise and 18 year old Jack headed out to the dance with their dates by their side.

As the night got closer, Eloise found that her boyfriend had other plans in mind. While she was in the bathroom, her boyfriend found another girl to call his. Coming out of the bathroom to see them kissing made her feel horrible. When Jack saw her crying he found her boyfriend and beat him up.

As she sat outside in the pouring ran a guy walked up to her.

"Hey, are you ok? I know its raining but you've been crying."

Eloise looked up at the man talking to her and wiped her eyes. "Oh everything's just horrible. My boyfriend kissed another girl while I went to the bathroom and my brother beat him up." Eloise sniffles and sneezed.

The stranger took his coat off and placed it on Elly's shoulders. "A guy like him doesn't deserve someone as beautiful as you." Then the man got up, kissed Eloise's cheek and left. When she got home she looked through the coat to see if the man had left anything in to identify himself. Pulling out a piece of paper that was folded nicely she read it.

'We should talk more. I enjoy your voice and smile.'

Eloise smiled and picked up the phone.

That was the beginning of forever.

I smiled remembering the night like it just happened. That was the night everything changed. The night i found out that everything happens for a reason and to never give up. Remembering the first time we met was a lot on me because it's the day i fell in love with a stranger.
