___Kat's POV___

My sister and I had arrived just in time for what the host had to say, well one of them anyways. They stopped for a while, looking at me and Fluffy, they smiled and soon resumed their stance. "Ladies and gentlemen! I would love to introduce myself formally, I am Evelyn. Currently I have just moved to this house and so far am enjoying myself! You all are at my yearly party I hold every house I come to, I think it would be good to go over the rules right now."

I looked at Fluffy, "This guy doesn't seem right", she looked back at me, "What do you mean by that?" I looked back the host, also noticing a smaller girl by his side looking slightly worried. "I don't know they just...give me a bad vibe", my body moved to a position in where I would be able to run quickly but Fluffy put her hand on my shoulder, "It's probably just the atmosphere, it's supposed to be creepy!" I just nodded my head and looked back up to the two. "Alright so, the game is a murder mystery of sorts, you will all be paired up into teams, there will be at the least seven to thirteen groups. In these groups you will have to trust each other, because other groups will try and..."kill" you" they did air quotes using their hands. I looked at Fluffy again, "See?" she simply dismissed the obviously strange words and body movements, "But", I looked back at them, "You may betray your partners and back-stab them. Of course there are the pros and cons to this but, you have the power in this game. There is an end to this that must be reached, anyone who reaches it will receive a prize!"

Mummers started to float around the crowd, confused about the entire situation they were being put in. "Any questions you may have will be answered throughout the game. Now I will hand out the team patches!" The host started with the girl right next to him and proceeded to give out items to the floor they were on. "Just hope we get the same one okay?" Fluffy said grabbing onto my hand, "Yeah." I watched as everyone who had gotten a patch were gathering up into groups, they soon came down and approached the two of us.

"Here you are ladies", they put their hand to my green hoodie and did the same with Fluffy and her blue flannel. They took their hands off and went to the next pair of people, I looked at where the hand had been and in its place was a bright red ace. "See! That's weird, it came out of no where!" I whisper yelled to her, "Party trick?" She nervously smiled at me, on her flannel was the same red ace, I sighed in relief. "Looks like we're on the same team." I looked back up to the girl standing by the host, she was looking around from the top floor at everyone on the bottom, "Who you eyeballing there Kat?" I looked at Fluffy, "No one! It doesn't matter anyways."

"Who is left?" The host asked everyone, a few hands went up, they smiled and made their way to the guests. Giving out different shaped and different colored patches, a bright red ace, dark blue diamond, sparking green club, and a shining yellow heart. Each having a different shade of their own color, some bright, some dull and some slightly pattered, for confusion to set in. Always something you'd want in a simple game right?
