Thank you, @Kasia-b  for showing me Lucas King! I love his work so much!  Play this song while reading, I love it :D

Nico's POV

I woke up to sobbing and screaming. Wonderful.

I heard multiple voices yelling "Calm down!" and "You're okay!" But the screaming and crying continued.

I opened my eyes and saw nothing. All I could do was here. I felt three people pressed against my sides and a cold, hard thing against my back. A wall. I could feel Annabeth's hair on my left shoulder, and a skinny col figure on my right, Leo.

"LET ME OUT!" The person screamed, and I knew it was Percy immediately. "LET ME OUT! GABE LET ME OUT!"

I heard banging and immediately knew he was banging on the walls with his fists, which couldn't be good as the wall was cement. "Percy, it's okay, calm down!" Annabeth exclaimed.

Percy either didn't hear or didn't care, as he continued to scream and pound on the walls. "LET ME OUT! PLEASE! LET ME OUT! LET ME OUT!"

"Percy, it's okay, we're here, it's okay, just calm down, you're okay!" Jason yelled over his screams. Some were words, others were simply screams.

"PLEASE!" Percy screamed. "LET THEM OUT! JUST LET THEM OUT! LET THEM GO!"

I heard loud thumping and creaks. "KID! SHUT THE HELL UP! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP!" Gabe yelled.

"LET THEM OUT!" Percy screamed. "LET US OUT!"

         "Shut up!" Gabe screamed.

          "LET US OUT!" Percy repeated.

"You don't deserve to come out," Gabe growled right in front of the door. "You deserve to sit in there and rot. You're worthless, no one would notice if you died, so keep your mouth shut."

Percy let out a soft whimper. "You need new material. You've been saying the same stuff for the past eighteen years of my life."

Gabe let out a cackle of a laugh. "I'm just telling the truth kid. Remember that. I'm always right." with that, he stomped up the stairs.

Percy was dead silent. No crying, so screaming, no whimpering. Nothing. "Percy?" I whispered softly. "Are you okay?"

I didn't get a response until to arms wrapped around my and held me close. "No." he whispered in my ear. I hugged him back, careful not to put to much pressure on his wounds.

"You're going to be okay, we all are. We're going to get out, and-and..." Even I was starting to trip up. I've only been conscious for a few minutes and I was already freaked out.

"And what?" His mouth was pressed against the side of my head where Annabeth's hair had been, but I think she moved.

"And we'll live a normal life. Normal teenagers. How does that sound?" I asked quietly.

"I doubt I'll ever be normal Neeks." He muttered into my hair.

"But we'll all accept you just the same. I don't think we'll be quite normal after this, any of us, but we'll stick together." I assured him.

He sighed. "I'm sorry... I didn't want you to get dragged into this..." He whispered.

I blindly managed to drab his hand. "It's fine Percy, I'm happy we found out. If we hadn't... Well, you might have died out there..."

Percy didn't respond. "Hey, Percy?" I asked. He hummed into my hair as a response.

"What's the longest you've been in here?" I whispered softly. He hesitated and I squeezed his cold, skinny hand. "You don't have to tell me."

"I think it was four days..." He muttered. I had to bite my lip to stop myself from letting out an audible noise of surprise. If I was struggling for this long, which was less probably half an hour, how would I manage 96 hours in a row? All alone? With no one to comfort me?

"I'm sorry." I whispered. He gripped my hand tightly.

        "It's okay." He muttered.

"Hey, Percy, I have a question.." Jason said softly.

         "Hmm?" Percy hummed again.

Jason hesitated. "He mentioned... Erm... The thing he... Erm..." Jason didn't quite know how to put the sentence together, but I could tell Percy knew what he was talking about. He tensed, using his other hand to grip my arm.

"I don't want t-to talk ab-about it..." Percy muttered into my hair.

I heard a quiet grunt, then a sqeaky "Sorry!" And immediately knew Leo had probably run into someone.

"it's okay." Jason muttered, and everything fell into a comfortable yet awkward silence.

Just then, I heard something. Something that brought a spark of hope in my chest.

         Sirens.

        Percy's POV

I clutched Nico's arm tightly and pulled him closer to me. If Gabe was arrested, I'd be homeless or sent to a foster home. I adjusted my position so his back was pressed against my chest and my arms were wrapped around his chest, my hand still gripping his. His skin was cold, just like mine.

"Percy? Are you okay?" Nico asked softly. I buried my nose into his hair and shook my head no again. I was sick and tired of lying to my friends, so I decided to be truthful. After all, simple lies are what drew us apart.

He squeezed my hand slightly, and  I squeezed back. The sirens got louder. There was a loud ruckus from upstairs and I heard loud cussing. "Fuck! Those fucking kids better not have called the fucking police!"

         "Nice vocabulary." Leo muttered.

"This is the police! Come out with your hands in the air!" Someone yelled over a megaphone.

I felt a large tremor in the house as Gabe screamed "I haven't done anything wrong you bastards!"

"We have video evidence! Please evacuate the house with your hands in the air!" The man yelled.

"I'm not coming-" His words stopped dead in his throat when a gunshot went off. There was a loud shattering noise, then a clump.

      "D-Did they k-k-kill him?" I stammered out.

The front door slammed open and I could hear people running above us. "Search the house! We're looking for four teenage kids! Perseus Jackson, Nico di Angelo, Jason Grace, Leonidas Valdez and Annabeth Chase!" Someone shouted.

There was a bunch of clatter and then Leo, Jason, Nico and Annabeth started screaming for help. There was a muffled "Over here!" and I could just register the door opening and light seeping through before I blacked out.
