Okay so I've never done this before but I'll give it a try . Some of Kaite's parts may be triggering as the story progresses

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I sat in my seat crying as they closed my grandfathers coffin . Soon after everyone left I still sat in my chair staring at the long ,beautifully crafted wooden box in the front of the room that would forever hold the very last person I would ever want to see lying lifeless , dead . I shakily opened the top and take one last look before placing my rose in his cold boney hands keeping my hands there for a moment before slowly shutting it again and walking away exiting the building .

My dad hasn't said a word since the funeral . I don't blame him . He drove in silence as my sister complained asking to turn on the radio . During the funeral she squeamishly sat in her chair confused by why everyone was so sad .He ignored her and continued to drive focusing on the road . I silently put in my ear buds resting my head on the window watching the slow steady rain that started to fall as tears continued rushing down my cheeks.

When we got home I headed straight to my room locking the door .I threw myself on my bed kicking my shoes off not caring what they knocked over .I screamed as loud as I could into my pillow angrily throwing it at the mirror in frustration.I changed out of my dress into something more comfortable . I curled up on my bed pulling the blankets closer as little goosebumps covered my body .I scrolled through Tumblr looking at random blogs , rebloging some depressing post. Being only fourteen I shouldn't be this depressed but I was for my life was a living nightmare.

I woke up early to the sound of my alarm . I really didn't feel like going to school today. Luckily it was the last day so it would be short . After watching the clock slowly tick by it was finally time to go home . I trudged up the small steps twisting the door knob realizing it was locked . I started to sweat more as I desperately started searching for the hidey key . I finally found it under the electric plug covering outside which I found quite daft to hide a metal key knowing you could get electrocuted .My sister was sent home with a friend for a sleepover and I assumed my dad was off getting drunk somewhere while my mom was at work . I've been used to this for a while now but I guess it was always normal for me since a year or two ago .I threw my stuff in my room and went into the kitchen grabbing a Arizona from the fridge. I unfolded a blanket wrapping it around my body.

After a few hours of watching YouTube videos and snacking on stuff that I could find in the almost empty cabinets I decided to call Calum . I pulled out my phone and waited until Calum finally picked up.

"Hiya!" , Calum said sounding preppy.

"Hi!" , I managed to say back giggling. I always found Calum's rich Aussie accent funny compared to my British one since we live in England .

"What's up."

"Can you come over?"

"Sure I'll be over in a bit."

"Okay see ya Cal."

I hung up the phone and started setting things up . I pulled out a extra blanket and set some movies and snacks on the small coffee table. I moved the frame that held a picture of my grandpa and hung it up on the wall where there was a old hook. The sound of the doorbell rang echoing through the house signaling that Calum was here.

"Hi Kate are you okay ? Have you been crying ? What happen ?" , Calum said alarming.

I looked at him confused as I let him in locking the door behind him. I hadn't even realized I was crying .
