Hospital kind of night

The whole way there I was snuggled into Colby trying not to cry as he rubbed my back trying to console and distract me all at the same time. He is such a good friend
"Hey we're here, I'm going to go get someone to bring you a wheel chair" Aaron said "I'll stay with you" Colby said putting his arm around me, I rested my head on his shoulder. "You are gonna be okay I promise" he said to me. The guys haven't really said much since we left the beach, I think they feel bad and just don't know what's the right thing to say. A woman comes out to the car and helps me get out "What happened miss" "I rolled my ankle coming down the stairs I don't know if I broke it or not" "Okay miss and what is your name" "Arya Jenkins" "Alright well we'll check you in and get you all set up , your boyfriend can come with you but your friends have to stay in the waiting room" "Oh no we aren't together" we say flustered and laugh. "But I want him with me , if that's okay" "That's perfectly fine, do you need me to call your parents?" "No it's okay I'll have Colby here call them" "Okay let's get you all settled here." She helped me into the bed after filling out some paper work. "So we are going to take some blood and run some tests. A nurse will be in here soon to take an x ray so just sit tight" Colby sits in a chair along side of my bed "Colbs what time is it" "it's about 2 am" "I want to sleep but she's going to be in here soon" there was a knock at the door "Hello I'm Daniella I'm going to be your nurse tonight , I'm also going to get your IV started" I sigh and looked over to Colby but he gave me a reassured look. The nurse tied a band around my arm to get my vein to be more prominent "I'm going to count to three okay" the nurse said okay. Without hesitation Colby held my hand in his , putting my hand between his two. "One, two , three" "Ow ow ow it hurts" "I know  sweetie it will be over soon" she put the catheter in my arm and the pain subsided. "That's it" she smiles "Let me know if you need anything else" "Will do" I said giving a weak smile in return. Colby brings my hand to his lips and presses a kiss on the top trying to comfort me. I look at him and smile "God I missed you so much." I smiled tiredly at him "I'm sorry that just slipped out" he laughs uncomfortably "I missed you too, so much" we both smile at each other for a moment before my close my eyes trying to get some rest
