"The unbreakable vow?" Scorpius asked, his eyes like saucers and his jaw dropped.

"Yes," Delphi replied.

"And what exactly do you want me to vow?" Scorpius asked.

"Does it really matter?" Delphi asked casually, stretching and looking all too comfortable and relaxed.

"Of course it matters," Scorpius said.

"Well from where I'm standing you have two options," Delphi said. "You can ensure Rose's death by not making the unbreakable vow. Or you can ensure she lives while you will live as long as you follow through with the vow. If you do, you'll live, if you don't you'll die. Either way, Rose will be fine. Perhaps I was mistaken," she said, glancing at Rose, "maybe you don't care for this girl as much as I had assumed."

"I do care for her," Scorpius said, raising his voice and taking a step towards Delphi. He looked at Rose, and for the first time was thankful she couldn't hear what he said next, as he wanted to tell her alone. "I love her," he said. "I love Rose. I will make the vow as long as you in return vow she will not be harmed."
Delphi smiles widely, her eyes narrowing, her hands coming together greedily.

Scorpius glanced at Albus who was just staring at Delphi, a hunger in his eyes that he had never before seen in his friend. He was smiling. Albus was smiling. What was wrong with him? How could he possibly be smiling at a time like this?

He looked back to Delhi, whose eyes were also locked on Albus's, the corners of her lips turned upwards in a seductive smile shrouded in pure evil and greed.

"Come closer," Delphi said, motioning to Scorpius with her wand.

He approached her with as much confidence as he could muster. Albus also walked toward Delphi and took his place on her right, the two of them now facing Scorpius. What was wrong with Albus? Why was he acting this way? It was so unlike him.

"What is the vow?" Scorpius asked, his voice cracking a bit, despite his best efforts to appear unfazed.

Delphi let out a laugh that sounded like a song. It was beautiful. As Scorpius looked at her, she looked beautiful. Albus was beaming at her. Scorpius shook his head, reminding himself that he was dealing with pure evil. This was Voldemort's daughter!

"Ah yes," Delphi smiled. "The vow."

"And!" Scorpius asked.

"And..." Delphi snickered, "you are going to aid me in bringing back my father."

"You're kidding, right?" Scorpius blurted our, bewildered. "You do know that he's dead, right? And all the horcruxes were destroyed. Not to mention the time turner was destroyed as well. It's. Literally. Impossible."

"Oh, but that's where you're wrong, my dear Scorpius!" Delphi said, leaning in close to him and running a slender finger down his jawline. She leaned in so close that he could feel her cold breath on his face. "There is a way. And you are going to stop at nothing to help me, or..." she gestured at Rose's bound form who was still crying and unable to hear them. "Or your little girlfriend will be seeing green soon."

Scorpius took a look at Rose, his heart sinking into his stomach. He couldn't bear to see the strong girl he knew bound up and helpless. One last look at her was all he needed. He knew that he would do anything. He knew he would gladly die for her if it meant she would live. He wondered if this was what true love felt like. Pulling his gaze from Rose, he turned to Delphi and said, "let's do this."
