The door was closed. The floors were dusty, and the air was cold.
"Help!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
The door was steel, and very thick. I couldn't see what was on the other side of the door, though there was a window on it. Something brown and wooden was covering it.
The downstairs had a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. My stomach burned from hunger. The drawers were full with cooking utensils. Ramen Noodles were the only food in the pantrys. I cooked them on an electric stove. The kitchen had all of the newest appliances.
I ate, as if I hadn't for years. Why me? This man obviously had issues. Why was he calling me Saide? Who is Saide?
A loud noise came from up the stairs. The door was opened. The Nameless Man walked down the steps. I prayed that he wouldn't hurt me again.
"You should start cleaning this place." The man said.
He had a pizza tray in his arms. I looked at him fearfully.
"Talk to me. You need to talk." The nameless man said, frustrated.
He must have anger issues, I assumed.
"What is your name?" I asked.
He ignored my question.
"What should I call you?" I asked, getting more confidence in talking.
"Don't call me anything." He said.
The nameless man sat down at the small dining table. I sat down with him. We stares at each other. I don't know what to say to him.
"Who is Saide?" I ask, pretending I have confidence.
"You are Saide" he says.
I won't win this battle. I grab a piece of pizza, though I just ate. The pizza had a thin layer of home-made sauce, topped with spinach. He had made this pizza himself.
"You are going to clean this place. I will be at work from six O'clock to four O'clock. While I am gone, you must clean, and do laundry." He said.
"Can I ever go home?" I ask.
"This is home" the man said.
I will be here forever now. The nameless man walked upstairs. This would be my life forever.
Nobody would care if I was gone. I mess everything up with my family. Now I am just alone with my thoughts. I grabbed the mop, and duster. This would make time pass. I cleaned as much as I could.
