CH. 8

[JIYOUNG'S HOUSE]

It was past midnight when Jiyoung got home. She sneaked her way in through the window to her bedroom, trying to not make any sounds to wake her brother up who was sleeping in the other room across from her.

It was around 8pm when she lied to her brother that she was having a headache and needed to go to bed early. Once her brother left her room, she sneaked out from her window.

As soon as she closed the window, the light to her bedroom turned on. She froze where she is and her heart started to pound nervously.

BOGUM: "Where did you go?"

She took a deep breath and turned around to face her brother. His unreadable expression causes her to gulp anxiously.

JIYOUNG: "I... I..."

His gazes landed on her red, swollen neck that was cause by Taehyung.

BOGUM: "You followed Taehyung around, didn't you?"

His question causes her to lower her eyes immediately. She didn't want to say anything, because if she did, she knows they'll just ended up having a fight like last time.

He strolled over to her.

BOGUM: "Jiyoung."

She lifted her eyes up to meet his again.

BOGUM: "You're in a risky position right now. If he decided to file a law suit against you, you could be in jail."

He placed his hands on her shoulders.

BOGUM: "I'll take care of this case. You need to be careful."

He patted her head and then silently stepped out of her room. Her eyes shifted over to the picture of her family and she stared at her father.

JIYOUNG: "Dad... you'll have to wait. I promise I'll take revenge for you but because of Bogum's request, I'll have to stop... just for now."

[MOON'S GRAPEVINE FARM]

It was early in the morning and Namjoon was still dreaming in LaLa Land when there's a loud knock at his door.

He startled and fell off the bed, causing him to groan in pain.

NAMJOON: "What the... hell?..."

He stood up and dragged his heavy feet to the door. As soon as he opened the door and Chaewon's face was the first thing he saw, he quickly tried to close the door.

But she was fast enough to block the door with her hand. He forfeited immediately and looked away.

CHAEWON: "Why didn't you go to the factory yesterday?"

He yawned and scratched his belly.

NAMJOON: "I did."

CHAEWON: "You still have the guts to lie in front of me!? I have proof you dumb head!"

He turned away, suddenly acting sulky.

NAMJOON: "Is it my fault? You're supposed to take responsibility of me but since you ditch me, why should I go to the factory for?"

She scoffed irritatingly at his stupid excuse.

CHAEWON: "I am not responsible for you. I did not make the agreement for you to come here in the first place! My job is to make sure you do your job as the son of Kim's Incorporation! Not to babysit you every step of the way! If you're going to act this way, I think it's time for you to have a talk with your father."
