CH. 10

Inside, where the party is still going on, Namjoon stepped over to where his dad was standing at and asked him a question.

NAMJOON: "Where's Taehyung? He disappeared after heading out with that security."

MR. KIM: "He came by earlier and told me that he needed to go."

Namjoon looked away.

NAMJOON: "That kid... his life is always in danger."

His dad looked at him and although he was acting as if he didn't care much, his dad can see right through him that he does care.

NAMJOON: "That is one of the reason why I don't do business."

The way that he says it, causes his dad to grin. His dad leaned slightly towards him.

MR. KIM: "Don't you think Ms. Chaewon look beautiful today?"

Namjoon's eyes looked over to Chaewon, who was standing at a distance talking to a different man now. He quickly looked away as if he's not interested.

NAMJOON: "So so."

MR. KIM: "Why don't you go ask her for a dance?"

Namjoon snorted at his dad's question.

NAMJOON: "And receive a punch? No, thank you."

MR. KIM: "I believe that Ms. Chaewon won't do anything inappropriate in public."

He commented and then just left Namjoon to make his own decision. Namjoon eyed Chaewon at a distance and then sucked in his cheeks irritatingly.

The man that was talking to Chaewon reached out his hand towards her in the middle of their conversion and she looked at him blankly.

He smiled.

MAN: "Would you mind having a dance with me?"

Chaewon sneered and reached her hand out to take his hand but right at that moment, someone grabbed onto her hand instead.

They looked over and Namjoon flashed the man a cold stare.

NAMJOON: "Sorry dude, but she's with me."

Chaewon was surprised and didn't get to say anything and was already pulled away by Namjoon.

Namjoon pulled Chaewon over to the dance floor and turned around to face her.

CHAEWON: "That is so not cool."

He grabbed her hands and wrapped it around his neck and then he placed his hands on her hip.

NAMJOON: "You don't know nothing about those dudes. When they said business, the only business they want, is sex."

She gave him a dull look.

CHAEWON: "You mean, dudes like you?"

He was dumbfounded for two seconds and then totally ignored her question.

NAMJOON: "Why did you followed me here?"

She snorted at his question.

CHAEWON: "Dream on. Your father invited me."

NAMJOON: "Why didn't you tell me?"

CHAEWON: "Do I need to tell you?"

NAMJOON: "Yeah, so I can at least prepare myself, knowing that you'll be here."

CHAEWON: "Ah..."

She nodded playfully.

CHAEWON: "So if I did tell you, you wouldn't have invited those two ladies, right?"
