"I can't believe you're Jay's friend."
"I can't believe I'm on a date with my friend's girls."
Y/N looked at him confused, "I'm not his girl. I'm barely his friend at the moment."
"It doesn't matter. You and him had something going and here I am, ruining it."
"Okay first, you didn't ruin anything. Whatever Jay and I had, he ruined it with his lies and thotness. And who cares if you're his friend? We were never officially together and I can date or talk to whoever I want."
"But bro code, you know?"
"I don't know because I'm not a bro." She chuckled trying to lighten the mood.
"I just can't do that to him."
"I understand." She said in disappointment.
"I'm sorry." And with that he walked away.
Y/N wasted no time calling up Adam, telling him to meet her at her place.
"Ok so what's so important that I had to stop what I was doing and rush to you?" Adam asked once she got in his car. He didn't drive off, they just sat in the parking lot.
"I just came from a date with Jerod."
"And who is that?"
"Jerod is, wait for it, Jay's friend."
"Oh shit."
"Yea, but Jerod you know is such a great friend and loyal to him that he left he date early and now I'm here talking to you."
"Where did you meet him?"
"Walmart, that's where he works."
"Do you think he'll tell Jay about it?"
"I don't know. I'm honestly kinda afraid of what might happen is he does find out."
"Why?"
"A lot of shit happened between us and I really do like him, but I don't know. He's so confusing and one minute he wants to be with me, but then I find out that he's fucking other people and it's all too much."
Adam didn't say anything and she took it as a sign to keep talking, "and I know I can be confusing and stupid, but he broke so many rules and he kept lying to me and honestly every time I think about it, I get so mad."
"I know before I was so happy that you finally found someone who you really liked, but now it seems like he's stressing you out. I think you should give him up."
"I tried, but every time I try to end things with him, it doesn't work out. He has this hold on me that I can shake off."
"Damn, his dick really must be magical."
She gave Adam the finger and he laughed.
"I have to tell you something."
"What?"
"I'm thinking about leaving Seattle."
"No you're not."
"Only for a couple of weeks. I need to get away."
"Where are you going to go?"
"Who knows? California, Texas, New Jersey, I honestly don't know."

The Next Day

Y/N sat on Jay's couch as he was in the kitchen preparing drinks. She didn't know how she ended up at his place at 2 in morning, but she did.
They didn't have sex, but they were together and that's all Jay could ask for.
He returned with the drinks and sat them on the coffee table before sitting next to her.
"Y/N-"
"Don't say anything because I know whatever you say is just gonna make me regret what I'm about to say." She avoided eye contact with him.
"What are you gonna say?"
"I- I need to leave. I need to get away from you and from Seattle."
"You don't need to go."
She finally made eye contact with him, "Jay, you don't understand."
"Where are you gonna go?"
"I don't know."
"I need you to stay. I wanna be with you and only you."
"No, you don't. You're only telling me what I want to hear. You want to screw around with every bitch you meet and I don't have time for it. You are a liar and you constantly do it to me," She stood up, gathering her things, "goodbye Jay."
Obviously leaving him wasn't gonna be easy because they ended up in the same position that started them in the first place.
Jay and Y/N couldn't get rid of each other. They couldn't get rid of the thing that bought them together.
They started and ended with sex at 2 am.
