Hundreds of people have gathered for Kristin's funeral, the story of the man that earned the Order of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Golden Oakleaves, Swords and DIamonds had spread like wildfire.

This was big enough to be a state-wide funeral since the others were being buried alongside Kristin here as well, including Rauscher too who had died at Tanguermunde.

The cross that was awarded to him was the highest medal that could be rewarded which was equivalent to the American Medal of Honor.

As said those that held the bridge were being honored alongside Kristin.

An honor guard was present and after a majority of friends and family said their goodbyes to their loved ones, the ceremonial rifle salute began. Amongst them were Oslo and several other survivors with Karl leading the honors.

"Menschen, present arms!"

"Take aim!" Aiming into the air, the riflemen awaited for his command.

"Feuer"

The multiple shots into the air quickly followed, and they reloaded before another volley was ordered.

Oslo then stepped forward and with the others, they rested their rifles at parade rest.

Then, as the casket was closed and as Kristin's casket was lowered into his grave, the band started playing.

(Enjoy the song!)

"Bear, arms!" Karl shouted and all the military veterans stiffened up and saluted while the casket was lowered and Kristin was laid to eternal rest.
