“Ok, you guys. Get over here NOW for the sleepover of the century!” I smiled once I was alone. The cacophony of excitement on the other end of the line told me that they were all coming. “Ok, guys. See ya in a bit.” I hung up as they were still talking.

I raided the cabinets for every bag of chip, every box of crackers and every package of cookies I could find. Then I moved on to the fridge in the garage, pulling out six packs of Coke Zero, Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper. I ran back upstairs and set up the dining room table as a huge buffet of snacks.

Ok, so here’s a basic description of my house: You walk through the front door to an open foyer. There’s the garage on your right, and a closet straight ahead. Down a small hallway is my room; originally designated as a large rec room, but I insisted on making it my own crib. I have a queen sized bed, couch, 42” plasma flat screen, sweet Apple computer and sound system, and a built in fire place.

When you walk up the stairs, the stairs make a right turn and bring you to the dining room. A large floor to ceiling fireplace separates the dining room and family room to the right, and to the left is the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. Oh, I also have an attached bathroom downstairs.

Then, branching off of the family room, we have another set of stairs leading to a hallway. On your left is the master suite, and on your right is Niall's small room, Dad’s office and a full bathroom.

Oh, yeah, we live in a condo in Los Angeles, California.

The doorbell rang and I sped down the steps to answer it. I threw open the door to see Abbie Payne standing there. She was wearing Happy Bunny PJ pants, Ugg boots, a furry coat and a wide smile. She threw her arms around me and squealed.

“I can’t believe this is actually happening to you!” Her adorable British accent rang smoothly in my ears. She and her family had moved here from England back in the sixth grade. She pulled back and I could see her eyes shining in the moonlight. The gentle glow reflected on her red hair, making her look like an angel. I had always been jealous of Abbie’s perfect looks, but oh well.

“What took you so long to get over here?” I laughed as I pulled the door closed behind her.

“I had to do my hair, pick out my jammies, torment my brother and walk across the street!” Abbie smiled as she bolted up the stairs to the buffet that she knew was lying in wait.

“Ah.” I shook my head as she stuffed her face with a handful of popcorn.

“So what’re we gonna do?” She made her way around the table, sticking her slender hand into every bowl.

“Well, I was thinking that we could-” I was interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell. “Hold on a sec!” I slid down the banister to answer the door.

“AHH!!!” Kaylie’s tiny frame attacked me as soon as I opened the door. Kaylie was a year older than Abbie, but was a good 6 inches shorter. She was little Miss Athlete of the Year, but also one of the sweetest people I know.

“Hello to you, too, Kay!” I laughed and kicked the door shut.

“So excited! Brought the Bitch List!” Kay held up a piece of paper with names, nick names and phone numbers.

“Yes!” I high fived her. Kaylie and I were the same age, seventeen. Abbie was sixteen, but she was a senior, like us. Super smart or something.

“You got the food out?” Kaylie asked as we started up the stairs.

“Yup!” I gestured to the almighty spread when we cleared the stairs.

“Awesome!” She skipped straight to the Doritos and immediately began stuffing her face.
