Just Wait

I stared out my window, into the trees, as I had for years before. The trees always looked the same. Today was different. It was as if the trees wanted my attention. They were not just there, they were reachable. I could get to them, but had not done so. They wanted me to go inside the forest. Everything called my name, though i had never seen the entire treeline.i had only seen the top, for the wall was blocking my sight. It was my biggest dream, and my worst fear.
The sun sank, until it was making everything seem grey. I kept my eye, on one dark, spot in the trees. It was shaped like a slender body. The Wind blew, and the spot disappeared into the trees. My heart skipped a beat. Everything was setting me on edge. All I wanted to do was venture into the trees.
"Alice" I heard, as a deep whisper. Something tapped my window. I began to become more and more fearful.
"It's just the wind." I convinced myself.
A noise came from the main room.
"Everything has been taken care of." my father says, walking into my room.
"Are you still staring out that window? You have always been worthless. You are a waste of time. Why can you not just be normal? Why dont you go outside, and get your work done, like everyone else? You are lucky I tolerate you." My father said.
His words hurt me the most. I looked back outside the window. My father  walked out of my room. I promised myself long ago, not to let his words hurt me ever again, but they still do.
What had he done to Sage? I trusted her. If he hurts her, it would be my fault.
My mind wandered to the possibilities of the trees. It seemed as if the trees were calling me.
"Just wait" I told myself. I will get out of here.
