Chapter 20. Finding out

Nicole's POV-

I slowly sank to the floor after reading the pregnancy test.

Positive

I began to cry and scream all at once, I guess someone heard me because of flood of nurses came in.

"Hey! Someone get her off the floor now!" A doctor screamed

It was the doctor who gave me the pregnancy test, and through all the blur of tears in my eyes she came by me to comfort me and I read her name tag.

Dr. Rebecca Leigh

"Hey, hey, Nicole, sweetie its okay. She said comforting me.

She helped me stand up as a nurse with gloves on grabbed my test.

"Here, I found this" the nurse whispered.

As Dr. Leigh helped me back to the room I decided to calm down a bit.

"So" she said walking over with tissues and germ X

"Its from my understanding that the test came back positive and your kinda in shock." She said

I answered in a low "yeah"

"Well, let me tell you a story." She sat down by me.

"How old are you?" She asked

"17, and about to graduate high school in 3 months." I sniffled answering

"Well, in your case your lucky, when I was 16 I got pregnant by my ex, and I was down right frightened. I had struggled through my nine months. But as soon as my baby came, it was like the whole world around me didnt exist. But after the baby was born things got bad." She stopped

"How bad?" I asked

She sighed

"Very, after the baby was born the baby's father left. I had struggled, no where to go, no one wanted a 16 year old girl with a baby. So I went to a homeless shelter. They helped me out with so much, like with watching the baby and getting me a job. And with all this I successfully got my own place and graduated college. And here I am today." She smiled

"Thats great, how old is he or she?" I asked

She laughed "not a baby anymore, shes 9 and her name is Jillian, Jill for short." She answered

I sighed

"So wheres your parents honey?" She asked

"There big time business people, they travel a lot and they pay what they need to pay down here so me and my little sister can live comfortably as possible." I answered

"I see, well thats something." She smiled

As our conversation ended she gave me papers to check back in with her so I can get my ultrasound done soon.

As I walked into the waiting room, Claire looked the she was ready to leave.

"Finally, so whats wrong?" She questioned

"Lets get to the car and ill explain." I answered

As we got in the car I gave her the paper that had all the answered she needed.

Her jaw dropped.

"Your pregnant?" She asked stunned

"Yeah" I trailed off

"How are you gonna tell him." She asked confused

"I will soon, just give me time." I said in a serious time.
