After his talk with the professor, Shadow had thought things would get better. Unfortunately the G.U.N Commander had made things other wise. While Shadow put Maria to bed he couldn't sleep with all the yelling down the hall. Professor and the Commander both yelled horrible words back and forth. From how things were going Shadow didn't know if any day would be better. He didn't understand why they were fighting, but he did know one thing. He was disproved by everyone else. One night as Maria slept he couldn't help but to stand out side the door where the arguing debate was taking place.

"He's my son and I'm not doing anything to harm him!" Professor yelled.
"He's not your son Gerald he's not even human! He's an animal!" Commander screams back.
"Project Shadow is to help those in need! He's here to stop suffering and pain, who wouldn't want that!?"
"I'll tell ya who! People who need the money from the ones in pain and suffering. Doctors will lose their jobs because of that rodent!"
"Oh for crying out loud the hedgehog isn't Jesus!"
"Aside from the fact, reliable sources tell me you've made contact with a so called 'Black Comet.' In which you pursued a Alien life form. What does that have to do with this Project Shadow?"
"I, I've done no such thing..." Gerald's words were shocking to Shadow. How they came out obviously like a lie. Shadow looked at himself and thinking of an 'Alien' if it was anything like the movies he began to become afraid of himself. But he listened on.

"Gerald, what does the Alien have to do with your project!?"
"You wanted me to find immortality, in order to carry out your wishes Black Doom had helped."
'Immortality?' Shadow echoed in his head.
"Immortality!? Jesus Christ Robotnik it was sarcasm! Now you had a Alien aboard the ARK!? Do you know what could have happened!?" the Commander yelled sounding as if he knocked something off a desk.
"Do you know the worst did not happen!?" Gerald yelled sounding more upset at the fallen items.
"That is not the point Gerald! The point is you've gone way to far out on your work! Now we have a alien spawn running out among us, and just as he is animal, he's unpredictable! You've put us all in danger!"

Shadow had almost found himself crying as he leaned on the wall for support not wanting to buckle over in sudden depression.

"How dare you! He is nothing that you called him! Nothing!" Gerald yelled. Suddenly there sounded to be a sound as if body's were being pushed around. A fight Shadow seemed to recall it was called. When two or more others participate in physical combat. As much as he wanted to jump in and break them apart he felt paralyzed and heavy. Like a giant rock on his shoulders kept him from moving.

But it soon got calm in the room, Shadow's ears twitched the sound of heaving breaths.

"That's it Gerald, I'm afraid I'm going to have to shut you down."
