I woke up early, crusty eyes and a bad smelly mouth.

I washed myself and put on some nice clothes, fixed my outfit and my hair. I want to give a good impression.

I was excited and so anticipating it. When I arrived the smile on my face disappeared. The place looked grey, like colours and happiness weren't allowed in there. The building was apparted from the city, and from everything that looked alive practically.

I got inside and everything keept on discouraging me. The expressionless faces of my future co-workers said everything.

"I hate my job"

"I hate this place"

"Run for your life"

"Hell sounds better than this"

"Nice ass Jimin"

"I wanna choke myself"

Believe me, it said it all. Finally I got to secretary. Where some other guy with the same look as the rest stood after the counter.

Seriously, is there a a rule in this company's politicy to look liveless or something?

"Hello, I came to do a job interview" I tried to cheer up the situation.

"Are you serious?" he had a mix of a disgusted and shocked expression.

"Of course, why wouldn't I?" I replied a bit confused.

"I hope it is to get my job position" he told me between sighs.

"Actually to be some prisoner's vigilant"

"Well, lucky you. You might have even a little action sometime" he gave me a type of card and continued.

"Put it over your face and show it to the camera so you can pass the doors. The room you're going it's at the end of the corridor"

"Thank you"

I did as I was told. I found myself walking next to an aisle with people screaming or crying next to me, only some crystal walls between us.

There were some prisoners out there in stretchers, others were resting on the floor. It looked disgusting, those patients weren't treated correctly, and they had even open wounds. I'm not a doctor but I'm sure hospitals aren't supposed to work like this, even if it's for criminals.

I managed to find the room and opened the door. Two ladies were in there. One of them looked very tired, with no emotion at all. She was around her forties or fifties, wearing a high bun, dressed up with a medical gown.

The other girl was so different, a tall beautiful girl. With too much makeup for my taste. But she looked really pretty, a girl in her twenties. Short curly black hair, dressed up with a black suit and a pencil skirt.

They greeted me. The first thing the older lady did was look at my curriculum, she read it at the speed of light and... checked me out.

"Are you strong enough to even knock someone if it was needed?" she said frankly.

"Mary! That's not a need, she learned to control herself" the young one added.

"Tell that to Juliet" she looked over at me now "Are you able or not?"

"Y-yes" is she serious? Who's Juliet and what happened to her? Everything sounds like crazy land in here. If it wasn't because I needed this, I would've already left this weird ass place.

"Then the job is yours" she stood up "Emma, help me introduce this guy to Lynae. You start tomorrow" I was a little shocked for the early start. But judging from what I've seen of this place I get why no one else wanted this job.

Anyways, her name was Lynae. The first time I heard her name.

Emma led us to her room. While we were walking she told me a bit about herself.

"I'm Lynae's lawyer, and as you heard my name's Emma. She is kind of a, uhmm, psychopath? Yeah well there's nothing to be afraid of, just don't act like she's an animal or a monster and she will be, or at least try, kind"

"Okay, I get it" I wasn't really excited about the fact that I gotta spend my time with some psychopath who might be agressive. But this is something temporarily till I found a proper job anyway.

We stopped in front of a metallic door, it had a tiny glass window to see throw.

"Lynae! I'm going to open the door, don't move okay" Mary suddenly yelled.

"I'm hungry, my baby is hungry too. Give us more food, I didn't eat since yesterday!!" the girl in the inside replied, and I might add, in not a friendly voice.

"You'll get your food tonight! Go and sit in your bed" she looked throw the glass glaring at Mary and did as she was told. If glances could kill I swear Mary would have died instantly in the most painful way, it really looked scary.

At that moment I didn't saw her clearly, just the eyes that later would tear my heart apart.

The woman opened the door and came next to her bed.

It didn't take even a second since the girl threw a plastic cup to Mary, hitting her right in her forehead. Good pass may I add. Thank God, it wasn't something hard or Mary would be gone by now.

I didn't knew what shocked me more, how unamused they reacted to her screams or the fact that she was extremely young. Like a girl in her 18.

"GIVE ME THE FOOD" the girl screamed constantly.

She was going to jump out of the bed. Her feet didn't even land on the floor when some other men already immobilized her to the bed and chained her to a pair of handcuffs.

"You just saw how your work is going to be like, you have to handcuff her every time she goes like that" Mary told me in a serious tone.

I found it was way too much to handcuff her, she is only hungry. But guess I gotta stick to the rules here so I can pay for rent this month.

I didn't like this job at all, but there is nothing else than this. And my morals stayed the same, but coming to this room specifically became my favorite thing to do.
