Road Block  By Alex Fierro

When I walk down the street

I see the people's feet

As they walk into the night

Where there are no foes to fight

As I walk down the block

I find myself at a road block

In between of me

And a place I can't see

Should I turn around and retrace my steps?

Or should I turn and flock?

And fly away to find out how

To defeat this evil road block

As I scanned my surroundings

I can see the people laughing

As I stared at the trash

I couldn't help think: "I am trash"

When I hit the block to nudge

It just wouldn't budge

So I no longer tried

I sat down and cried

Should I turn around and retrace my steps?

Or should I turn and flock?

And fly away to find out how

To defeat this evil road block

Felt like I couldn't blossom

Feel like a possum

What is this inside of me?

No longer want to flee

I now have the power

To defeat this evil tower

No need to turn around and retrace my steps

No reason to turn and flock

Cause now I found out how

To defeat this evil road block
