When I woke up it had stopped snowing and was around noon. Natalie came running in carrying her dress, along with her make-up and hair styling kit. "Lanta get up get up! We only have six hours to eat lunch and get ready!" she exclaimed enthusiastically. Natalie was easily excitable but it worked well for her since she was one of the most wanted girls in the school. She had beautiful blonde hair and green eyes. Freckles dusted her cheeks in a way that boys found cute but it didn't matter since she was one of the best on the dance team along with me. Natalie made me feel plan and dull with my normal long brown hair but she was still my best friend despite that. We quickly ate while I listened to her chatter on and on about the guy who was taking her to the dance. Soon she started to work on curling my hair for the ball and once she was done she pinned part of it up in a half pony tail. Normally the hair style is very relaxed and casual but with my hair curled it looked elegant and sophisticated. It didn't take us long to do each other's make-up, the both of us having extreme concentration. "Wow Lanta you look beautiful! Nico's going to love it!" she exclaimed. I laughed and signed back. The other girl had first surprised me by knowing sign language so we could talk. "And your date is going to think your drop dead gorgeous!" I sign to her smiling. She helped me up and we got in our dresses. I admired my dress in the mirror and was shocked at my appearance. I didn't even recognize myself! My flowing down my back in elegant curls and the dress making my eyes stand out. We conversed for a while before there was a knock on the door. I calmly answered it and Nico stood there dressed in a neat tux. It looked great on him and he wore a tie that matched my dress. "Atlanta you...you look incredible!" he exclaimed staring. I blushed softly and looked away nervously. "You don't look too bad yourself" I signed back smiling contently. Nico gently took my hand and slipped a white flower corsage on my wrist before holding out a beautiful white mask. It was simple yet at the same time elegant and made me feel like Cinderella. I blushed again as he gently put it on for me before slipping on his own white mask. "Shall we?" he asked softly holding out his hand.
We walked into the gym which was decorated in silver, white, and a pale blue. It was amazing and beautiful. We talked for a while with his friends before going out to the dance floor; there were slow dances and fast ones as well. It was around midnight when a song came on, it struck me as odd because it was a Disney song covered by a different singer but I loved it. The song was 'Kiss the Girl' and even though it had fast parts we danced with each other, Nico holding me close. In the middle of the song he stopped me and looked in my eyes seeming conflicted. Before I knew it he kissed me and gently rested his hands lightly on my hips. It was well there were no words to describe it. His lips were soft and warm against my own and when he pulled away I found myself missing the feeling of them. I looked up into his eyes wanting desperately to say something to him even if it was one word. I opened my mouth and managed to form the syllables. "N...N-Nico" I managed to say, stuttering slightly. Nico looked at me shocked before he leaned in for another kiss.

The end!! I'm curious about what others think and I might do Nico's side later but in a separate story! I hoped everyone liked it!! Oh! I'll accept any constructive criticism! I want to know what I could do to make my writing better!!
