Duncan walked out of his office in Yogtowers and was greeted by a familiar face. Sjin. The two were friends, not the best of friends but sill friends. They hadn't talked in awhile since Sjin had been really rude to Kim lately. Duncan hadn't liked that one bit so he had refused to speak to him and avoided contact with him as much as possible. Instead he stayed by Kim who he truly admired since no one could put her down,no one but Sjin. "Hello Duncan." The farmer said leaning against the wall. "Evening Sjin. To what do I owe this visit?" He asked trying to hide the anger in his voice. "Oh nothing I was just on my way down the hall when I thought of something." He replied. "And what would that be?" Duncan questioned knowing that this was going in a bad direction already. "Well I thought, Kim could use a better teacher than you. After all you have no concern for her safety,at the farm she was safe,not infected by your stupid sciencey flux thing!" Sjin taunted. It was true that on tekkit Duncan had accidentally gotten Kim infected with Flux. It was also true that he couldn't fully protect her.. But what wasn't true was the fact that he was a bad teacher. "Listen here Sjin,I'm ten times the teacher you'll ever be. I may not be safest person to be around but I will fight for what I love and I love Kim. Something you can't do that I actually can." Duncan growled before shoving past him. Kim had heard everything of the end of their conversation. She hadn't the slightest idea why they had been fighting. She started after Duncan but was also stopped by Sjin as Duncan had. "Kim! Glad I caught you,I was just having a little chat with Duncan and he said that he didn't want you to be his apprentice anymore! Can you believe the nerve of him? Anyways I was thinking you'd want to come back and be my apprentice?" Sjin lied. Kim saw past the lie and answered with "No,try maybe never." And with that she was gone as she went after Duncan. She found him walking by himself on a sidewalk that seemed very empty. "Duncan I heard what you said to Sjin,is it true?" She asked in a very timid voice as she caught up to him. He stopped and turned to her. "Kim,I loved you ever since you landed in my castle fountain,I loved you even when I had to lock you away,I love you still. Of course it was true." Duncan confessed. "Duncan,I love you too." Kim replied standing on her tiptoes to kiss him since he was much taller than her. And so the two became more than Teacher and Apprentice that day. After all everyone knows the old saying. Fight for the one you love.
