~WARNING BLOOD AND GORE~
"You, sir, are an insensitive prick." I snapped at Orin as I narrowed my eyes at the tower of Jenga before me. The wooden blocks were teetering on a single slab, waving like a pendulum in the wind. Orin chuckled to himself, satisfied with his work as he leaned back in his chair. He flicked his arms behind his head, using his hands as a pillow. "An absolute devil, you are."
"You don't say," Orin laughed, a playful smile gracing his lips. I shifted my injured leg, moving my cast a little. Due to my injury, I was on hiatus, the only requirement being having to finish the homework that Gerard brought me every night.
"Who's winning?" Chastity asked, walking into the room. Her black tresses were tied behind her in a braid, and she wore white jeans paired with a baggy, lilac crop top.
"Not me, that's for damn sure," I mumbled to myself as I squinted at the trembling tower of wood. Chastity sat beside me, cocking her head at the game.
"Is it your turn?" She asked. I hummed and nodded. She reached towards a block, but hesitated. "May I?" She asked again.
"Go for it," I encouraged. "But I've been poking at that thing for a while and it's not gonna mo-"
I was cut off as Chastity took ahold of the block, easily removing it and placing it atop the tower. My jaw dropped and Orin howled with laughter. Chastity smiled to herself, and I whipped my head in her direction.
"How?" I demanded. Chastity raised a finger, silently instructing me to wait. Orin took his turn, sliding out a block near the top. Chastity pointed a finger in the direction of the Jenga game. A small gust of wind blew into the tower, knocking it over and onto Orin.
"Hey!" Orin shouted. Chastity chuckled. I tilted my head at Chastity, blinking up at the tall woman owlishly.
"No, seriously, how?" I repeated. Chastity raised an eyebrow.
"Gerard didn't tell you what my Kinetic was?" She asked, I shook my head. Chastity rested her hands on her lap. "I'm what you would call a Sancti-Aerokinetic. Meaning that I can control Holy, or blessed wind."
"Real impressive," Orin grumbled. I waved my hand at him in dismissal.
"Wait, but aren't you a healer?" I asked. "You fixed the injury on my stomach, didn't you?" Chastity nodded.
"There are many more uses for wind power than meets the eye," she began. "for example, I can hold things steady by creating opposing wind currents of the same strength around an object, hence why I was able to take out that block you couldn't. I used my Kinetic."
"Cheater!" Orin exclaimed, leaning forward to fix the broken tower of wood. I batted his shoulder.
"Continue?" I requested, fiddling with one of the fallen blocks, which Orin quickly swiped from my hands.
"Just like any Kinetic, really, Aerokinesis can be used for healing purposes," she began, leaning back into the couch. "all I did was speed up the healing process of you wound dramatically by manipulating the air particles around it. Thus increasing the wound's exposure to air and healthy vitamins and minerals needed for recovery. Furthermore, I manipulate holy wind, thus being able to heal wound and injuries fairly easily. I can even heal a mental illness so long as I'm constantly near the affected individual, creating healthy and purifying air for them to breathe."
"Wow," I marveled, suddenly envious of her skill and prowess with her Kinetic. "you sound pretty damn talented!"
"Well I'm not the only one who shows promise," she said, gesturing to Orin and I. "am I?"
