*10 months later*
Everything was planned down to the last detail, all that was left was to actually get married, John was staying at Greg Lestrade's house who was his best man, while Sherlock was his best mans house.
"John, you ready?"
"Yep"
John ran down the stairs not bothering to hind his excitement.
"Let's go meet Sherlock, before he kills his best man"
"Oh he's not that bad"
"Just cause you're dating him, doesn't mean he's nice"
"Shh, you and Sherlock are the only ones who know me and Mycroft are dating"
"Liar"
"Fine"
They made their way to the ceremony which was being held outside, the first sight John saw was Sherlock, I'm a white suit with a smile on his face, he was standing next to Mycroft and an elderly couple, John practically ran towards him
"Sherlock"
"John, you look very handsome"
"As do you"
"John I want you to meet my mum Violet and my dad Siger"
"Pleasure to meet you"
Less than ten minutes later they were down the aisle
"I believe you wrote your own vows" the vicar stated, John and Sherlock nodded, John began
"Sherlock, you saved me more ways than imaginable and I can't ask for better, even though we had near death experiences and you faking your death, I wouldn't change anything, I wouldn't choose a different life and I'm happy to stand here today, marrying you"
Sherlock smiled and began
"John Hamish Watson, I was a machine when I met you, no emotions, no care for anybody, then I met you, the wisest man ever, and to my surprise you accepted me, I never had many friends, not many people believed in me, but you never stopped, you stood by me even when people called me a fake and I love you for that, so John Hamish Watson it is an honour to call you my friend, let alone my husband, that is the biggest privilege I have received"
The room was filled with people crying including John and the vicar
"Did I do it wrong?" Sherlock panicked
John laughed "No you done it perfectly"
The vicar wiped his eyes and laughed
"Do you John Hamish Watson take William Sherlock Scott Holmes to be you lawfully wedded husband?"
John paused on hearing his full name as Sherlock shot Mycroft a death look
"I do"
"And do you William Sherlock Scott Holmes take John Hamish Watson to be your lawfully wedded husband?"
"I do"
