You sat there with a small circle mirror in front of you while Court Lady Kang brushed your hair with an approval smile playing on her lips. You pressed your red lips into thin line as you looked down, closing your eyes tightly, and remembered the Queen Dowager's words.

'You need to consummate so that if you get pregnant, you will still be the Queen no matter what'

But what she doesn't know was that, you couldn't get pregnant anymore. Not after that incident happened—the incident where it made you hate Jungkook more.

Tonight, even with the guards outside the palace, the Queen Dowager issued an order for Jimin and you to consummate—it was all her plan. In fact, Jimin and you cannot have a say on it since she is the highest elder in the palace.

Court Lady Kang stood up from her position before grabbing the robe that she hang on the screen before slowly putting it over your body, tucking your hair to the front.

Suddenly, you could hear her sniffles making you look at her while fixing your robe. "Why are you crying?"

She looked at you with tears evident on her eyes, and a small smile on her lips. "I just can't believe that this day would come again."

Your heart softened at the sight and her words, cupping her cheeks gently. "It's not like this is my first night."

She giggled, sniffing again. "I still remember Your Majesty's first night together with His Majesty."

Your eyes widened, a tint of blush appeared on your cheeks. "What?"

A sudden image of your first night with Jimin appeared on your mind making you blhsh furiously. You were young when you entered the palace, and young when you married and even consummate with Jimin.

"It's just that—" She gulped down fidgeting her fingers. "After Consort Jeon—"

"Stop blaming yourself, Court Lady Kang." You sighed, cutting her off and smiling at her. "It isn't your fault, okay? We cannot stop the King's feelings towards him anyway."

It was true. It wasn't anyone's fault that Jimin fell in love with Jungkook. It was you as his wife and lover that is at fault for not being enough.

She looked at you before you said in a gentle manner, smiling as you fluttered your eyelashes. "Everything happened already. Let's just await for the future."

"Stop crying, okay?" You added, and she nodded, helping you towards the bed before facing away to leave the room.

"Also," She turned around, waiting for your orders. "Can you call my brother for me? Tell him to wait at the library."
